Moving with an IEP

We will most likely be moving across the country in about a month. Does anyone have experience or know if a current IEP would have any standing or if we would have to start the process over?

The current IEP stands and the district has so many days to reevaluate and generate a new IEP.  The timelines depend on the state's codes.

I was under the impression it still is valid. Though the new school will want to reevaluate as pp said.

What strategies worked in the old school may not work in the new school and what strategies didn't work at the old school may work at the new school.

Thanks everyone. My son is currently in an integrated preschool where it's mostly typical kids and a few kids with IEPs. Do most states have schools like this?
