Hi there!

I have been lurking on this board quite a bit, but I would love to participate more.  H and I have been maried for 6.5 years and have one lovely little DD.  We always planned for 2, but unfortunately we live in a very HCOL area and are struggling to make it work with just 1, so she'll be it for us.  I work in the fashion industry and my H is a part time SAHD (he works part time).

I am a huge animal lover, a shopaholic and I have been told that I look like Michele Williams.  I think I look like I ate Michele Williams.

Just imagine Jenn Lindley after a massive twinkie binge.  Wish I could still blame the pregnancy, but I don't think that's a valid excuse when your DD is 2!

I am using the baby weight excuse until DS is off to college.

Oooh!  Now I'm intrigued.  What are your criteria for baby names?  What kinds of names do you like?

My son has a totally different foreign name and I tend to like names like that so I never posted on Baby Names for fear of getting smacked.

I have an unusual last name, so I personally have on my list very traditional, easy to pronounce and highly recognizable American/ English names.

I like and enjoy ALL types of names though.  I would say my taste is slightly left of the norm on the BNB.

Um, OK I am obsessed with (your kid's name) It's been on my "names I love but can't use" list forever.  I have a very unusal Spanish last name so the two names together would be ridic.

If I even had one drop of Scandinavian blood in me I would have considered (OK, forced H into submission until he agreed with me) this name for a LO.

I always loved the name Benjamin.

I'm a big fan of Ben Franklin and always wanted a name that could grow with DS.

Trapped in box.  Thanks for removing!  His name is so unusual I try not to use it on the boards.  Titts can you delete too pwease?

Yes, part Scandinavian.  And my husband also likes weird names.  One reason not to be OAD is because we could pick a new name for Kiddo #2.  Kidding kidding guys!

I guess I did post on Baby Names one time and it was because the only girl name husband and I could agree on was "Sybil."  Half the women said that it immediately made them think of the movie and the other half said it made them think of Lady Sybil on Downton.  I hadn't (still haven't) seen the movie, but I'm kinda glad we didn't need to make a decision about that.

I like Gus too!  I wanted to name my kid "Scooter" for a while and my friend's said no it sounded like a preppy college rapist's name.

DH is Gustaf. They're Swedish.

I have cousin who went by Scooter as a kid. His real name is Francis and now he goes by Frank.

Kidding, and I am so hoping your H's name isn't Chester.

Welcome! I'm new here too but I've seen your posts and I'm happy we went with a conventional name for DS! Not that we would have considered anything with unnecessary y's and x's anyways :-)
