It's 5am here...

and the girls just got up to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday DH and I decided to try putting the girls to bed in their cribs in their room. They have been sleeping in the Rock n Plays in our room since they were born. I wasn't quite ready, but I knew that since I go back to work in two weeks, they'd be napping in cribs at daycare and I wanted them to get used to sleeping flat and not at an incline (we did put a rolled up towel under their mattresses to give a small incline - Harper has reflux).

We put them to bed at about 8 last night. DH fed them again around 10:30pm, and they just got up to eat at 5am!

Now I know this is premature, but Hallelujah! On the other hand, I slept like crap. Had to get up to pump at around 1am (and am pumping now). Not to mention I was so anxious having them in their own room I was up probably every hour checking them on the monitor.

Lets just hope they keep this up and I may not be a zombie at work. (until 4 month wakeful)

  • Awesome! I'm so nervous to transition out of the rock n plays! Glad it went smooth for you!

  • That's great! I was so nervous putting them in the crib too, they slept so much better as soon as we did!

  • Yay! That's awesome! Mine are in the mamaroo's which we lug up and down every night and morning. We have tried the cribs but my girl doesn't like to lay flat ( her name is Harper too!). Maybe I will try the towel under the mattress trick. Thanks for the tip. I hope you get many more nights of sleep!
