I have been trifolding with our 13 mo. old. But for the last couple of weeks we have been jellyrolling on our newborn. So far I have only snappi'd. But I just ordered snapless workhorses from GMD and they sent me a pair of pins. Before I gave pinning a try...I was wondering what method of fastening diapers do you guys prefer? And if you pin, do you stick them in soap first? I will probably give the pins a try. I am just curious what you prefer and/or if it's even worth trying.
Re: snappi or pin?
We used to use snappis more. I always would switch between snappies and pins, but DH was scared of pins.
For the past few months we've been using pins only. My DH finally got over his fear (he was afraid he'd poke DS). The snappies weren't holding the pre-folds tightly enough.
We don't use soap, but have found that you do need to replace your pins every so often. They just get dull over time. I feel so retro using pins. I love them.

I don't know...I'll have to look into sharpening the pins. I thought they just needed to be replaced after a while. Am I the only one replacing them?

Also, did it ever occur to anyone else that it is a little bit odd for a tomato and a berry to be growing on the same vine? Even as a kid, I thought they should totally make the little strawberry into a rounder baby tomato shape. In my defense, we didn't have cable and lived 30 minutes away from the closest town, so I had a lot of time to think about pincushions and things.
