*Update* - Doctors visit went great today. Everything looked good, babies are doing great, and hopefully will stay in there for another 6-7 weeks. And no bed rest! Thanks again for all the support and positive thoughts. I really appreciate it.

Long story short, I hadn't been feeling baby B move very much for a few days, so called my doc. They had me come in for a non-stress test (NST) and couldn't get their twin monitors to work so sent me down to L&D. I start with one nurse who has a hard time getting the heart beats to separate. She leaves and a while later another nurse comes in because the first has to go to a delivery. She walks in, looks at the monitor and says, "You're definitely having contractions, do you feel them?" I'm sitting in the hospital bad with three monitors strapped to me, like, "No, no I don't feel any contractions." The next thing I know, I'm in a hospital gown, hooked up to a fluids IV, and they're calling the on call doctor. Doc does an ultrasound, finds both babies heart beats, but says they can't do the NST because they keep moving too much to get a consistent reading (which is a good thing) but leave me hooked up to the machine to monitor babies and contractions. Then another nurse comes in, because the second had to go to delivery (they had 3 babies born while I was in L&D), and the doctor comes back to check cervix (which was hard, tight, and closed - yay!) and to do a fetal fibronectin test (FFN - neg. means good to go). Hubby shows up, and we wait for an hour or so, and then nurse comes back and says the lid came off the tube, so we need to swab for the FFN test again. We have to wait for doctor and then test, and finally at 4 pm, they say FFN was positive, but go home, take it easy, and you'll see your doc on Friday for a follow up.
And this whole time I have eaten nothing! I was starving! Good news is that babies are staying in there, baby B is okay, and hopefully when they do the follow up on Friday, everything will look right as rain and I won't have to be on bed rest for the remainder of the time. So maybe that wasn't so short after all.

Sorry you had to wait around so long. I had a similar situation a few weeks ago and 2 ladies went to delivery while I was being monitored. They were very apologetic but it reassured me for when my LO comes. I want to be top of their list when I'm in labour!
