Crinone vs. prometrium?

I just started crinone this morning per RE's orders. She let me do 7dpo progesterone checks without support on clomid but wants to add the support for inject cycles. Way back when I did my first clomid cycles I was on prometrium. Can anyone tell me what to expect from the crinone, and if you've taken both whether its different from the prometrium?

I have no experience with Crinone but the nurse at my RE's office said the Crinone and prometrium are the same thing you just take Crinone 1 time a day vs 2 and it's less messy. It's what my RE likes to prescribe but I got the prometrium for free so I used it. Next cycle I'm using Crinone.

I've used both, and I prefer Prometrium for the mere fact that I don't get vag build up from it (TMI). The Crinone I would actually dig out after a few days and thought that was nasty, with the Prometrium I just used a pantyliner. Plus Crinone is much more expensive than Prometrium, at least with my insurance it was. Good luck!

Yuck, I used to have to do that with the prometrium and was hoping I wouldn't have to with the crinone! Ick. Oh well.

I'm starting to think maybe I don't want the Crinone and just stick with the prometrium and just continue to have a white period next cycle.

Crinone's not that bad.  I take it 2x per day and while the buildup is gross, I find that if you use it and then get right up and move, there are fewer large chunks, which is the gross/annoying part.  It will drip a little bit but a pantyliner fixes that.
