I love mint and chocolate. SO MUCH. And my showers are super hot. Like even I'm surprised by how hot they are sometimes. Guess who didn't follow that "no hot baths or showers" rule while pregnant? This girl! And now my baby likes his baths a little warmer too. Mmm. I could just stand in there forever!
Reality shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians, Real Housewives of Wherever, the Bachelor, The Bachelorette, etc. are obnoxious and a waste of very, very precious time.
I agree with the shows listed above. But dance moms is the shit.

Maybe that's my uo, I love Dance Moms.
I love dance moms too!!
Also a Dance Moms fan. Although I live in Pittsburgh and have never heard of that studio before. And I would never let my daughter (if I had one) be talked to that way. But it still watch the show religiously!
Yea.. it's really kind of funny and totally scripted now. But the competitions they go to are pretty small. The studio I went to growing up has beat them numerous times. Don't get me wrong, the girls are phenomenal dancers and have some amazing talent, but they aren't the best that's ever been. Now that the show has been on for a few seasons... they actually stage their competitions. They 'invite' small studios to compete against them. Last season the they came to my home town and invited the studio I used to teach at (extremely small, total recreational studio) to compete. Of course ALDC would win as they should because they are competitive dancers. I'm sure they compete at big competitions and just don't show it.
I hate being a girl when it comes to bridal showers, baby showers, Tupperware parties and all the crap like them. I would much rather send a gift then have to attend. I hate the games and small talk and, usually, crappy cake (I have high standards for cake). I feel a tremendous obligation to attend... Which I hate even more.
And before I get jumped, I even hated my own showers and begged my families not to throw any. They did Anyway but they were very low key.
Salt and vinegar chips. Yum. It doesn't belong on fries. Ketchup please.
Mint & chocolate. Yum again. Mint Chocolate chip ice cream? O.M.G.
Brewery. I hate beer but I'd totes go. It looks like fun! #imthereforthefood #illbeyourdd
Warm showers. Rinse off with cool water. #ireaditsgoodforyou

My UO. I despise the "fleece" sleepers. I have returned every single one I've been gifted. It's not fleece. It's polyester. It doesn't breathe. It may be soft on the outside but the inside feels like clammy rubber or something. Gross. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would like them/put their baby in them. Cotton or Terry cloth sleepers for my LO.

It has been butt ass cold in Minnesota so my child has basically lived in fleece sleep and plays. She's in one now!

Is it bad that I watch all of the shows you listed? I agree it is a waste of time, but I love reality tv! I can't help it!
I don't watch any shows like those any more. I much prefer wasting my time with fluffy (sometimes trashy) chick lit.

We have a ton of fleece sleepers! It's freezing in Utah most of the time so he's always in them. They feel really soft on the inside to me..
I have one! It may seem like common sense/decency but a surprising number of people don't get it.
If you are in a line, or about to be helped/served by someone i. e. store check out, security exit booth, movie tickets, and are up/next DONT BE TALKING ON YOUR DAMN PHONE! It makes the process harder and twice as long. Seriously, why can't it wait the three minutes it will take to finish your transaction?

I don't like Dance Moms...but your siggy requires me to like all your posts.
I love Dance Moms. And Toddlers in Tiaras. In some strange shameful way they make me feel better about myself, especially now that I'm a parent. Like, oh hey, I may be ruining my son's life because he'll never learn to self soothe if I keep nursing him to sleep...but at least I'm not putting him in a tiny top hat and teaching him to shake his butt like those moms!
No salt and vinegar anything please. I french fries with LOTS of ketchup
I hate mint anything. See UO below
I love big dogs, but am ok with small dogs, as long as their not yippy
Babies in breweries? Idc. Babies in bars (not restaurant bars)? No. Tacky.
I really don't care about Valentine's day - we usually do something fun, so for us it's more of an excuse to have a date night. #toobrokeforgifts
I agree that most reality TV is a crap-heap, but I totes get sucked into KUWTK #lovemesomeLordDisick
My UOs
I hate candy, gum, etc. More of an FFFC, but when I was little someone at school told me all my teeth would fall out if I ate any of it, so I never have, and the smell makes me nauseous. However, cookies and brownies are the shit. I have to have some sort of dessert every day or I get really cranky.
I HATE cards* (not homemade, but store-bought). It's a waste of $5, and when you have to exchange cards with someone, then it's a waste of $10. *except Christmas cards. Idk why but I'm OK with them - probably because most of them are now picture cards, not the crappy generic ones you buy.
@amjoy25 adorable! mini poodles are good with babies? My brother and SIL are expecting and they have a 2 y/o mini poo and they were wondering how he would be with the baby...he seemed to be scared of lo LOL...but sometimes he can be a big (little) jerk
Love salt and vinegar chips, I'll pass on the fries though.
Mint chocolate chip ice cream is always a delightful surprise because I always forget how good it is.
Breweries are so fun, I live in "beer town" though so you don't even get side eyed for taking your kid to a brewery. You basically just said your UO was drunk driving after so many posts, in which case that is a very popular opinion.
Reality tv is not my thing. I love America's Got Talent and that is all. I honestly feel like he rest of it is just garbage and makes a lot of people think it's okay to act soooo dumb IRL.
I hate seeing little kids being entertained by technology - smart phone, I-whatever. Call me a hippy, but my LO will be playing with wooden blocks, coloring books and reading to entertain himself. Let children develop coping skills and imaginations. Ok, hippy rant over.
@vvg28 I feel the exact same way! I said LO won't be getting a phone until she is at least 16. But I know it's not going to happen because times are changing (what am I 80?) and I probably will just have to accept it...they'll prob require iPads and shit in school.

I love love love Valentines Day! I even celebrate grandparents day so I am just that person I guess. I don't celebrate sweetest day though.
You are a mystery to me.
Haha why?
I'm with amjoy. Idk about her, but I feel like I would never be able to predict your opinion on a subject. You almost always surprise at least a little.
I know most reality shows are scripted but I pretend they aren't and don't want to know. @hartsl01 I am going to pretend your post about the ALDC doesn't exist!
My UO I really don't like headbands/bows on babies.
And please don't post a pic of your LO wearing one and ask me "how is this not cute?" It makes me feel bad when my thought is "it isn't cute, just obnoxious"
Agree with the headbands. My MIL is big into things like that, so I gave her a heads up that, if I had a girl, I did not want any and if she gave me any they would not be used. I had a boy so I never had to back that one up.
My feelings on Valentines day: who the heck care what anyone does, if they like it, or if they hate it.
DH and I used to go to a nice dinner or something pre-kids. Now we just do whatever. It's no big deal to us. We don't exchange gifts. However, I decided to go to central market and pick something up for us to cook as a family meal. Were having steak and lobster, fancy Mac and cheese, tomatoes and mixer elks, and baked asparagus. Is that a normal Friday night meal for us? No. But I'm using Vday as an excuse to do something a little extra special. Why not? Some people need an excuse. Some people don't. Either way. Who cares. Do what you want!
I guess I just don't understand the strong feelings for it either way.
I watch dance moms. I'm trying to figure out why abby is all that. Seriously, I don't picture her being a dancer. I wish they would post footage from when she did dance so maybe I'd understand why she is so amazing.
I'm not opposed to parents home schooling if they truly have a talent. But I don't know where that line is.
@amjoy25 what "outrgeous" beliefs do I have? And which one of these contradicts me like Valentines Day?
Like what @kimbo1216 said; it's hard to predict what you will like, hate, defend, etc. I'm having a hard time recalling specifics of why I would assume you would hate Valentine's Day, but it just doesn't seem like your bag. I'm not trying to start a fight, but it just doesn't seem like something you would like...is all I'm sayin'.

We call the game bag toss. The ladder ball game is called glongo ball. I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. We celebrate valentines day but no gifts. We usually go out for supper and do cards.
My UO
I hate peanut butter and all things containing peanut butter like Reese's Pieces.
@Amjoy25 I did a double take at the photo of your LO & poodle. So cute!
And @carawasa, to chime in -- yes, I think poodles are great with LOs, but it all depends on how you raise them. We rescued our poodle last year, and while he's still pretty anxious, he's definitely getting better. He and LO are BFFs for lyfe. They even hold hands!
I'm in the PA/MD area, and the bag toss game is corn hole here, too, because the bags are filled with corn and the object is to get them in the hole. Game bags, wtf?!
Not game bags, just bags, like, "Let's go play bags" or "How about a nice game of bags?". Probably a shortened form of beanbags. And why are people putting corn in bags? Cornbags? No. Beanbags!
We play something similar to corn hole, but we use washers so we call it washers. Original. If never played it until I met my husband's hillbilly family.
UO- I've got nothing. Apparently I am a bit of a follower or have some of the same beliefs as most of you.

I think they already do. My niece is in 6th grade and they all had to have one, though I don't know the specifics on if they got them free or whatnot.

Mini-poodles. Amazing. FYI I thought I would never want a small dog, but she is so awesome; I lurve her so much.
