We just got the green light from the pediatrician to start using sippy cups. We tried the playtex brand and the spout seems to hard for DD. Any recommendations for a sippy cup your LO likes?
I have a bottle hater who is apparently a sippy cup hater, too. The only non-boob she will drink from is a straw cup. We have these and she does great with them. Plus, a straw is better for dental and speech development.
DS1 would never take a sippy cup so we went to the straw cup and he loved it. I skipped the sippy all together with DS2 and went to straw cup instead. We use the Zoli.
The straw on the Munchkin cup is soft. There is a little weight on the bottom so no matter which way they hold it, the straw stays in the milk. We've never had a problem with leaking. They were $6 at my store, which is cheaper than the Zoli cup. I didn't see them at Target, but I got them at our local grocery store (Meijer) and obviously BRU has them. It took her a few days to be able to drink from it without dribbling a lot out, but she does really well now.
Eta I can't remember what age the package said, but straws are totally fine to introduce now. Most probably say 12 months because most babies take bottles and don't start cups till a year, unlike my baby.
