i think i know the answer (everybody loves it and says it's a must-buy item) but for the sake of the moms who may not know about this amazing/disgusting product, let's chat about it!!
we don't currently own one. i'm 90% sure we'll get one before baby arrives. feel free to talk me in or out of this decision.

For, what? $10 or $12? I think they are majorly money well spent.
Kendra -- I'm a huge Baby 411 fan, but I haven't a clue as to why they'd say not to aspirate. We don't do it a ton, but when a bad cold hits, it's essential to DD's sleep that we suck that nasty gunk out; otherwise she really can't breathe or rest well at all!
BFP#2 3/16/11, beta 138; 4/12 Baby/HB DS born 9/10/11 at 29w4d due to partial abruption and PTL
BFP#3 8/19/13 Another boy! 17P, modified bedrest and Nifedipine helped us have a termie! DS2 born 4/19/14 at 38w5d.
I'd get the extra filters for sure, those things get lost so easy and should really be changed with every cold. That being said, we bought a box with ours when DS was born and still haven't used them all so they last a long time.
