How long until you went into labor after losing mucus plug?

I'm 39 weeks and 3 days & just lost my mucus plug! How long till you went into labor after losing your plug??

I didn't and my water broke at 37w 6d.

I lost it over the course of a day, and my water broke that evening (this was 4 days after a failed induction, but that's a whole other story).

I lost mine at 29w and im 36w now. My dr said most women lose pieces randomly and it just regenerates and makes new. I don't think its an indication that labor is near.

Lost mine around 4pm on June 27th and my water broke at 5am on June 28th. Had her at 10:22pm. But it can regenerate after it falls out. All depends. I was 36 weeks and 4 days.

My water broke first then my mucus plug came out slowly during labor.

I never noticed losing it with either kid.  And it can also regenerate.  Long story short - it really doesn't mean anything as far as when baby will be here - sorry!

With #2 I lost mine that morning around 7 am, worked all day and was in full labor around 9 pm. - had her at 2 am.

Wow, people really love talking about their mucus plugs around here.

Losing your mucus plug is not a predictor of impending labor.  You could lose your mucus plug today and go into labor tomorrow.  Or two days from now.  Or a week.  

With me, I never noticed losing it and went into labor naturally.

I never did see my mucus plug with LO #1, this time around I'm waiting to see if it shows up. I'm 38 weeks along now.

I lost mine in the middle of the night and went into labor the next morning. He was born 12 hours later.

I know they say it's not an indicator of labor, but....

I lost my plug at 8pm on a Saturday night and woke up at midnight with contractions. My little guy was born 18 hours later (7pm Sunday evening). I hope it means labor is close for you! Good luck

I'm 39 weeks and lost mine yesterday morning. I think I had been losing it for a few days. I'm hoping labour comes in the next few days so I don't have to be induced

I thought that your plug would regenerate itself after i lost it, but ask your dr first bc at my stage in pregnancy they informed me that it would not come back.
