I've been reveling (okay that's a bit of an exaggeration) in the fact that I have remained stretch mark free on my belly this pregnancy (hey, it's a total win..stretch marks are not nice, I have them elsewhere)....
Well, karma is a bbbbbb....
Okay it's not that bad but I managed to burn my belly with my curling iron. It left a gnarly mark across the front that will probably scar.
At least I can explain stretch marks with a straight face.... how will I explain this burn without feeling the shame **facepalm***
Lesson--Never do your hair in a sports bra while pregnant. Cover that isht up! Naked bumps are asking for trouble hahah.
If it makes you feel better, it will likely fade. I set a straightening iron down on my leg once and had a scar for about a year or two, but now I can't see it. Get some vitamin E oil too. That'll help.
Arrghhhhhhhh im so mad!!!!!!!! The tech doing my BBP, which I have every week due to high blood pressure, just SHOWED ME MY BABYS PENIS. I didnt know!!!!! I cant unsee that!!!! 37 weeks and there goes my surprise. DH doesnt want to know still so I can keep my mouth shut for him but Im so sad!
@ichabody - it took my mother a DECADE to be able to be in the same hemisphere as my step-mother, and i was already 18 and out of the house when she effectively "broke up" my parent's marriage. a DECADE. i was 28 when i got married, and my step-mother still had to OD on xanax before my bridal shower in order to survive it b/c she felt like such a twat with my mother's family around. she was flying so high that she actually INTRODUCED HERSELF to my mother. my mom was like "ummm, yeah, i know you. you slept with my husband and then married him." (in reality, she was very nice and just said "hello, nice to see you" - my mom's classy like that)
my point is, these situations SUCK, and with a little one, you'll be forced to be in the same room with her (if they even last) much, much sooner than that, so girlfriend, take ALL THE TIME YOU NEED NOW. this takes a lot of healing (and regression, and healing, and regression, etc. etc.), and it is TOO SOON for that shit - way too soon.
They declared they were closing the office on Thursday and just giving us an extra day off with pay. That's pretty awesome. Except I am pretty sure as support staff my team will have to have at least one person here. I'm the most likely candidate. Blah. (Then I will just take the day later in the year). So it works out - sort of.
Just found out I am GBS+ and I definitely started crying in my MW's office. Talk about an overreaction. I'm such a weepy mess these days, everything makes me cry. I had a super quick labor/delivery with DS and I am nervous I won't have enough time before the baby is born to get the antibiotics.
I just wanted to encourage all the ladies yet to deliver your sweet babies. I know you are all miserable, in pain, hormones are all over the place, etc. Hang in there! I know it's so frustrating to go day after day with nothing changing; nothing happening. I cried the day before my son was born bc I just was so tired of being pregnant and just wanted to meet my son. It will be all worth it! Your little ones will come and everything you went through will no longer matter. You'll have your sweet, snuggly babies in your arms, filling your eyes with tears in a good way.
You ladies are awesome! It's almost over. Keeping thinking about the end and let your body do the rest.

Thank you for this! This is such a refreshing post to see after all the bitching and whining that has been on this board lately! Congrats on your little one and can't wait to see everyone else's little babes!
I am a little curious as to when/if a thread starts to show off push presents. I admit I am a little surprised it hasn't happened yet...I kind of can't wait for the drama!

Swore someone was posing as @litera , and you miss soontobehuskymom (I know I'm way off with your SN but I tried) all this change! First the pics, now the name! I swear I'm not gonna know who any of you are soon and will one day just show up like WHO THE HELL ARE YOU PPL?!!
Anyways, I originally came to see if anyone else was enjoying "The making of Diagon Alley"? It's delightfully Harry potter

Pre e can kiss my dimpled ass. Hope you can keep baby cooking. Hugs.
Just have to AW that our glider is finally here and set up! This thing has been the bane of my existence the last two weeks with ordering errors, a dented up box, not fitting through the door... SO and his cousin shimmied it in through the window today and now I can successfully spend all my time in LO's nursery thinking about how different it's all gonna be soon!
(Now if only we could get furniture handles ordered, the dang nursery would be done...)
I changed my mind about LittleDude's coming home outfit. DH saw this one at the store yesterday and commented that it was cute so OF COURSE I ran out today and bought it. How often is a dude going to comment on baby clothes?!
So then I saw this one and OF COURSE HAD TO BUY THAT TOO.
My name is Kelly and I am addicted to buying baby clothes. For real though, I had 3 showers and waited all of that time for everyone else to buy stuff for LD, holding back what I had wanted. Now that those are done, I am off the leash and I'm on Mat leave with too much time on my hands. Really, DH shouldn't be surprised. Ahem. :-D
Dangit! I was hoping to avoid another induction, but my blood pressure won out. I'm being induced tomorrow morning, and praying to avoid the devil's medicine known as magnesium.
@litera I have the fox one in 3 months, and this wolf set similar to your raccoon one in 6 months. They are just the cutest, aren't they?!?
I was so tempted to buy the Wolf one as well! I absolutely love Carter's, they are so soft, wash awesomely and the patches on the butt.... ermahgerd. Kinda pricey and I feel like a dope buying in NB size when I'm not entirely sure how long he will be able to fit in them. I'll definitely go back in a few months when they are all clearance and stock up in the bigger sizes :X :X :X
Ahhh...the characters on the butt! Love love love!

I've found that Carter's tends to run truer to size as well, so easy to justify bc they're cute and practical!! Gerber runs crazy small for some reason.
Alex has arrived! 9 pounds, 21 inches - 3 weeks early on March 2nd
~went natural - very intense. whew!~

Seriously, SO cute! Where were these when I had my boys!? I'm such a brat --- as soon as I find out I'm finally having a girl, I start falling in love with all of the adorable boy clothes out there.
37 weeks today. Past couple days all I have wanted to do is sleep, pee, eat, thow up. My head is pounding & my feet & joints hurt so bad. this heat is making me miserable. 90's here. I don't know you girls are living in hotter weather/ still working in it do this. We are almost there. ALMOST!
My labs all came back okay yesterday so it looks like were inducing or having a cs Friday, which is 37 weeks per my OB. (The office that does my sonos uses a different due date so sometimes I say Im already 37, but the OB is the one that counts). So Im stuck at the hospital for the duration I guess. And DH was adament he didnt want to share a birthday with LO (his is 7-23) and it turns out I might instead (mine is 7-5)
Why are the contractions and general pains so much worse at night??? I'm not one to complain too much about pregnancy, but damn...the last few nights have sucked.

My exact thoughts! When i get up in the middle of the night half the time its to pee the other half is from contractions or leg cramps that i hardly feel during the day.. weird
Does anyone want to do a July Siggy Change? We didn't vote for June's, it probably would have been a flop like May's was. Adorable baby GIFS? Baby and animal GIFS?
Re: Random thread- for all things random.
Stupid fuckwittage is what that is. Fuck your STBXH in his stupid face. And FIL needs a punch, too.

My DD just noticed them yesterday and asked if the baby had scratched me.

My push present...
6 pound diamond!
Gahhhhhh
