I bought a bunch of hanging lanterns - they come with the instructions to hang them with cup-hooks and fishing wire, but I don't really want to make a bunch of holes in my ceiling. Any ideas on how to limit the hole-making? I have 12 lanterns, and am going for a look like this: https://www.cookiemag.com/gear/2006/10/roomservice?currentPage=4 so they would be grouped together.
Thanks!
Re: Hanging Lanterns
Maybe you can use th 3M clip things- not sure what they are called but they are little clips that are open on one side (small opening) for a cord to go in it and you use tape to adhere.
Btw, where did you get the lanterns from?
I second those 3M things - they work great!
If you are putting them in one corner - kind of like they are in the pic and the 3M things dont work - you could attach white wire to the upper edge of the ceiling diagonally. You could clip them to that and also use it to guide the cords - I guess you would have cords anyway - to the wall and to the plug.
That is really really cute, BTW. I bet baby will LOVE it!
The light bulbs are seperate - I got some at Home Depot. But I'm not putting the light bulbs in the small ones that I'm putting over the crib, just the larger ones for over the chair.
