Great news at Doc appt!

Went in today for my 37 week appt and I am "thinning out" and 2 cm dilated! He said that he wound't be surprise if the baby was here around the 20th of this month All organs including lungs are ready to go! So excited! He also said she is not breech no more (Woot!) and she is right at my pelvis, which explains alot and it won't be long. She getting ready and in position! So close but yet so far! Super excited!

Congratulations!  I have my 38 week visit on Friday and I'm definitely hoping for similar news, haha.

Not to rain on your parade but keep in mind that not even your doctor really knows when baby will come  You can be thinned and dilated for weeks.  So try to relax and just enjoy the last few weeks.  Baby will be here before you know it!

Did your doctor do an amnio? Because I'm not sure how else he could know the lungs are developed. And you can walk around dilated for weeks and weeks, so yeah not to be a wet blanket but don't get your hopes up. I hate when doctors say stuff like that.

I don't want to pile on, but I totally agree about not getting your hopes up.

I was 2cm for the last 6-7 weeks of my pregnancy.  Doc was sure I was going to go early and said I would NEVER make my due date and I was a wreck about it. LO came only 9 days before my due date.

I know the end is tough so hang in there, however long it takes.

Yea he did an amino, and I know that it will be a couple of weeks It's just nice to know that I am starting the phase where I am starting to get ready for the big day! I think it would be around the 20-25th but she will come when she is ready. Hopefully sooner than later. I am ready to meet her!

With my last pregnancy I was 3cm and 75% effaced at 35w, I was induced at 40w1d and was still 3cm 75%.
