Crawling-raw red skin

My Lo has really just learned how to crawl on his hands and knees the past week. Yesterday I noticed his skin on his knees and arms was red.  Is it just from rubbing while crawling?  Im assuming this is what its from, does his skin just need to toughen up and get used to it?   He wears long pants and long sleeved onesies but Im assuming its just from the rubbing.

Yes, same is happening with my LO. His knees are always red, poor guy.

Same here! At night I put a little lotion or aquaphor on her knees before bed.
