This thread made me cry. I can't believe how awful people are, especially kids. I consider myself lucky that I got through school relatively unharmed, bully-wise. I was kind of a tenacious kid and I used to snap at people who bullied the underdogs. My heart just breaks thinking about kids who get tormented every day and feel completely worthless.

I'm resolving to teach Caleb kindness above all other virtues. I will drill it into his head how important it is to treat people with respect and to realize that it's not okay to hurt someone with words or actions, especially if it's just because they look different or act different. I hope he's that kid who will befriend everyone and try hard to be inclusive.
