Is it ok to feel sad that my mom and sister are planning a trip out of the country a couple days before my due date? I'm hoping this baby comes early so they can be there but inside if they are gone when he is born I think I'll be heartbroken. Am I crazy for this?
It is absolutely ok to feel sad about it, I would too. But I do have a few questions...you mentioned it is for your SIL's 30th bday and that they are staying at someone else's vacation rental (a time share?). Is it possible they didn't have any other choice to go other than those 2 weeks? Not saying a birthday is more important than a literal birth day, but I can understand your SIL wanting to celebrate the big 3 0. If it's a case of not really having flexibility with timelines, I would like to think that they are bummed about the timing, too. Hopefully baby comes a little early, as your others did, and then it will be a non issue anyway Don't stress about it!
@otter1103 it happens to the best of us lol. I have the code saved on my phone, paste my gif code in it, copy it and then delete the gif code so the regular code thingy is always ready to use. Lol. Otherwise I would never be able to gif because my memory sucks lately haha.
Just got these last night. And I must confess I put a mug in the freezer so I'd have a frosted mug for my milk. I have no dinner plans other than trying these. If they are horrible I'm pretty sure tears will fall.
Okay here is my AWing moment of the day... I was raised Catholic but DH and I weren't married in a Catholic Church. DH is currently becoming Catholic, baby will be baptized Catholic... So that means we are going to go through a Convalidation Ceremony (basically the church blesses our marriage so it is a sacrament)
They treat it like a short wedding ceremony here so I need help with picking a dress... It will be in a darker ivory color. What do you think? One or two? I know they are ridiculously similar, but I can't decide which one to order, and I need to order it this week!
Has anybody successfully gifed from a windows phone? The Bump app isn't made for my OS ao I just bump from the mobile website and my mobile comment box doesn't have any tool bar options except the smiley faces. It fails every time...
Could you enter it with the "< img src="... " > " format? I'm on the App 90% of the time and mobile site the 5% (b/c I can't attach in the App) and when I switch to the mobile site, the threads /comment box looks the same the App.

My other sisters aren't going neither is my step dad. Just my mom and twin. I just feel bummed out.
Right now I'm sitting in the parking lot flossing my teeth, 25 minutes before my dental cleaning. This is going to be a horrible, bloody mess Hope everyone has a better afternoon than me!
Sometimes I feel like I'm just not enjoying pregnancy like I should be. From 6 weeks on I have been having some sort of symptom, usually a bunch at a time, and now at 22 weeks I really feel like my appetite will never come back...like the constant sickness destroyed it. So dramatic, but it's true.
I feel guilty about this. I just want to physically feel better, or even if I had all these symptoms but even 1/3 of my energy back, that might make a difference! This never-ending-winter in the city is not helping and probably a huge player in this also.
Anywho, yea. I want to be a Mama. I just want to smile and say, "I'm doing great!" and actually MEAN it when someone asks someday sooner than later!

My daughter fell asleep in the car on the way home from the doctor's office. I'm sitting in the car remembering how often I used to sit in here so she would sleep longer than 20 minutes at a time. I always used to think that I wouldn't conform to my child's schedule, that they would have to learn mine. HA. I was the perfect parent before I was a parent.
This morning, my 3 year old daughter went to go pee, and forgot to lift the lid. How does one do that?
I'm pretty sure last pregnancy I did this once. I think it was in the middle of the night and our lid is almost never down.
@otter1103 you must report back tonight. I've passed those at the store twice already without buying.
Last night I went to the store for a treat and came home with chocolate milk, chocolate chip cookie dough, fruit loops, bacon, cheese stuffed breadsticks, and ice cream...
My hubby and I love Monday nights and record the Bachelor and watch it just to yell at Juan Pablo the whole time how fake he is and other derogatory things I will refrain from posting.
@sarahS11, I like the first dress just because I'm 5'6 and lengths like #2 tend to hit me funny but they are both gorgeous! Congrats and enjoy yourself!

@SarahS11 - I vote dress 1 too. I like the lace and neckline better. Also, congrats on the ceremony. Sounds awesome!

@lizardbreath14 Congrats to your husband! My DH gets baptized at Easter as well! Something I never thought would happen!
@MegK82 That's awesome that you are sponsoring your 3rd candidate through RCIA! It's a huge time commitment, so I really says a lot about you!
To all others that replied... Thanks so much! I was already leaning towards dress 1, but it helps that many others like it too! I am on the shorter side and hadn't even thought about dress length much! Our ceremony will be at 10 am, and I'm hoping to have a photography friend take some maternity shots of us all fancied up afterwards, so I want it to look fantastic!
I think it's great mainly because I have only seen 1 other girl on 16 and pregnant or teen mom bf. Also shows that you can bf without a cover and barely show anything.
I think I figured out a way to quit earlier! I'll still work up until very close to my due date, but I'll give notice about a month out and work up until the week before. We'll move onto DH's insurance coverage and hit our yearly deductible with the labor/delivery. I figure we have to hit that when we move anyway, so why not get it out of the way with the birth? Otherwise I have to figure out the logistics of quitting while on leave, which could land me paying full premiums on my current insurance, which would be expensive. I love my plan, and now I just have to get DH on board with it, as he's very hesitant to tell work even a day before I leave that I'll be leaving. I feel so much calmer with a plan to leave in place, sigh. It's nice.
Also, a coworker bought me cadbury mini eggs. Yum!
Because I didn't want to open a new discussion ... I have a SS question:
We have decided not to do any type of Labor class since we do not have a sitter for our nephew. Does anyone recommend a book I can pick up that will give me a run down of everything that a class would cover?

katekat8721, ME TOO! They point things out and I'm just like, "Hmmm." But inside I'm simultaneously excited and feel high. Like, I don't know how anyone sees a baby moving inside them in a place that used to be just organs and doesn't feel like they're on the weirdest drugs ever.
The hospital near us does not offer childcare They said you can bring your children and I said NOPE! He has a shady back ground and I don't want him repeating things like breasts and describing stuff to kids at school.

I want something that gives an overview of the entire process. I keep telling myself I want to go drug free (if possible) but my hubby doesn't want to see me in pain. So something that explains both drug free and drug birth and c-section (if that becomes necessary).

I wish you guys could see my cat! She has the weirdest fur that is sooo soft but get tangles and mats in it constantly. So sometime around now I take her to the vet to get her haircut! It's a little different than the lion cut cuz I leave her whole tail and they cut the mane off too. She looks HILARIOUS!!
My husband got a Baby Bonus check from his boss today! His company is owned by an Indian tribe so his boss has to get things approved through the tribal council. I guess he tried to get him as raise, but the council said he made too much.
I'll take the check though! So sweet and unexpected!

@Mztwilson I don't think you're being sad is ridiculous. I would let them know how you feel and see what they say.
