Trouble TTC

new here!

Hello, ladies. I am so glad that I found this site! My (new) husband and I have been TTC on and off since 2010. At 16, I found out I had ovarian cysts. I had surgery to remove the cysts, and unfortunately lost my left ovary and fallopian tube. Again in 2010 I had the same issue. So before having the second surgery he and I decided we wanted to try for a baby before it was too late. Luckily I didn't end up losing my ovary, but there was damage to the fallopian tube. We actively tried for about 6 months after that, then gave up because it became really depressing for us both. We got engaged and while planning the wedding I was hoping it would be just the thing to relieve enough stress for an "unplanned" pregnancy. No luck. The month before our wedding we began actively trying again. I know I need to get back to the dr to schedule an HSG test, however, I am nervous about the outcome. I keep hoping that if we continue to try it will happen naturally. It seems like everytime we get a BFN someone we know gets a BFP.....unplanned of course!  Just hoping to get some support and knowledge from those of you who have been dealing with the same issues.

Sorry you are here, but I hope you feel welcomed. I stopped taking BC after I got engaged in 2005. Started actively trying in 2008. I found out in 2011 my endo was so bad I lost both my tubes so I know what you are going through. The agony of month after month of BFN and AF is heart breaking and quite depressing. If there is any advice I could give it's go ahead and see a specialist. It was one the hardest yet best things I could have done. While I'm still trying for my 1st, at least I've gotten closer with BFPs and I know what the problem/solution is. Best of luck to you!!
