That is short especially for 16 weeks. What does your dr say? Have you been referred to an MFM? I don't know your situation, but I would definitely start pushing for a cerclage ASAP.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
How did they measure it? Transvaginal or abdominal ultrasound. Mine measured short around 12-13 weeks. They checked again at 14-15 weeks and it was 'normal'...then I had something else check at 19 weeks and they noticed it was 1.7 cm with funneling...I got an SOS cerclage. I would definitely discuss with your ob/gyn about the length and pros/cons to a cerclage.
Yes that's short for 16 weeks. I was measuring between 3.9 and 4.4 at 16 wks and by 24 wks I was down to 1.9. I would definitely start discussing options with your OB/MFM.
