I broke the rules (bfp mentioned)-UPDATE

So this past cycle DH and I were supposed to be TTA (this was only second cycle since d&C). I was off my metformin, waiting until next AF to start Clomid and monitoring with the RE. DH and I had sex unprotected, but I figured it took 20+ cycles for the last BFP that ended in a loss, and I am not on Metformin, so our chances were less than 1%.

 I got a faint BFP on a wondfo Saturday and I swear the line is fainter today than Saturday. I, of course, am not holding out much hope because I wasn't on metformin and the line is fainter. I am a POAS-aholic, DH was telling me to not read too much into it. I have a call in to my OB. It just stinks that with 2IF and after a loss a BFP isn't as exciting as it used to be you know? I am more like "Eh, we will see if it actually turns into something". I don't mean to sound like a downer, and I am grateful to see the BFP, I am just so incredibly worried.

 

UPDATE: Beta #1=176. Last BFP that ended in a loss, 1st beta was 51. I know betas are relative and it really only matters that it doubles, but I feel better about this number. Second beta tomorrow AM and will know Friday morning, praying/crossing all crossables that it doubles.

    Hoping this works out, I totally think that I will feel the same way if I ever see another BFP, but just try to stay calm (yea sorry I would be anything but calm) hopefully you get some good news ASAP.  Call your RE and get some blood work going and I'll be looking for you to come back with good news :)

    TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

    Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

    TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

    Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

    Back with RE as of January 2014...

    5/27/14- Chemical Pregnancy :(

    April 2015 IVF#1

    5/13/15- BFP, please stick LO!

    Oh and I'm a major Harry Potter Nerd :)

    First, congrats! A bfp IS a bfp! I totally get the apprehension though, and am keeping everything crossed that there's only good news from here on out!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Good Luck!

    Trying for #2 with IVF after damage done in a D&C left me with one functioning (but too scarred) ovary and tube to get pregnant safely without assistance. It's a really, really long story, but that is the gist of it.  We have one daughter (whose c-section birth started this roller coaster) born in 2012 after a miscarriage in 2011. 
    Failed 1st attempt at IVF (Fresh ET day 3, 1 frozen embryo saved) in December 2013.  
    Failed 2nd attempt at IVF (Fresh ET day 5, 2 frozen embryos saved) in February 2014.

    @freakyfast, I feel the SAME way. I could have had my betas done Monday and Wednesday, but I opted for Tues/Thurs so I wouldn't have to miss more work. I have no idea now, why I cared, the anticipation is horrible!

    I am going to have a coronary. I didn't realize their office closed at 11:30 on Fridays. I am seriously sitting here nearly shaking with worry. So I called my doctor's on-call number and left a message. I realize this isn't an emergency, but there is NO way I can go all weekend. Surely I'm not the first person who just had a loss and is more on edge with their next pregnancy. Ugh, the Nurse should have freaking mentioned yesterday that they close at 11:30 on Fridays when she told me to call by noon if I hadn't heard from them .
