Great TED Talk on what happens in the womb!

Hi all,
I know I've recommended the book Origins, by Annie Murphy Paul, which details a lot of studies on the importance of the 9 months in the womb on who we become as people. I found a link tpday to a 17-minute Ted Talk by her where she highlights a few stories from the book as well as offers a few newer tidbits. If you enjoy this, I highly recommend the book! The counselor at my RE recommends it especially to anyone carrying donor egg/embies, but it's intended for all pregnant women.

@jalara, I thought of you and the other GC IP's and debated posting, but I know some do have contact/influence and went ahead.

I'm sorry I think in your shoes I'd be a little sad too. While you may be strangers in the very beginning, you have a genetic connection which will prove amazing as your LO grows! You'll get to see your/DH's image in your LO!

TPR sucks all around as there is no situation where we get to have it all . I'm sorry my post bummed you out!

@Jalara48 - Hugs, I'm sorry this is hard on you. There is definitely grieving that has to take place for anyone going through TPR. I had a time letting go a genetic relationship to my child in the Summer of 2012. It's like grieving a death but unfortunately most of the world doesn't understand. It does get easier, though. And I hope you find this to be the case for you too. Your baby will love you so much for all of the love and effort you put into making him/her come into this world. I know I would look at my mom/dad as heros if they went to the other side of the world to bring me here!
