New and Scared

I'm new to these boards, but the scared part has nothing to do with that.

My husband and I have been trying since June of 2012-about 20 months-but who's counting, right?!

We went to see a reproductive specialist in September, and he couldn't pinpoint anything, so he diagnosed me with "a mild ovulatory disorder" (husband has been checked out and he's good). He told us we could do a an IUI with Clomid when we were ready. Well, in September that really scared me, so we weren't ready.

I just wanted us to be able to do it on our own. It's now February, and obviously, that's not working.

We are scheduled to start that IUI cycle this cycle, but now my period is late and we both work jobs that have a lot going on this week, so if I'm not able to do the initial ultrasound tomorrow, we won't be able to work around it this cycle. Is that a sign? Am I crazy? I should be excited that my period is late, but I've tested and it's negative. I just know that it will come in a couple days. Is that a sign? Do people believe in signs? Ugh...

Just needing some reassurance and also IUI advice and/or Clomid advice?

Hi & good luck with your IUI! You should also check out the 3T board (Trouble-TTC). Most of the ladies over there are currently doing IUI cycles. Many of us around here, myself included, traveled over from 3T and are onto IVF.
