High-Risk Pregnancy

Would you call the OB?

So I think I have a stomach bug.  I woke up around 4AM vomiting, and haven't really stopped since except when I'm sleeping.  I haven't been able to keep anything down, even water/ginger ale/crackers, etc.  I have a small fever too (100.7).  I had some cramping overnight but it was gone this morning, no spotting or anything like that.  Still feeling the baby move.  I'm just not sure if anything can be done at this point besides waiting it out.  Would you call the OB?  FWIW I planned to call him in the morning if I wasn't feeling better, just not sure about tonight.

Re: Would you call the OB?

  • My rule of thumb (especially with high risk) is that if you have to ask, you should call.  Your OB has an on call line for a reason.

  • Would say 24 hours of not keeping anything down is a good reason to call
  • I would call. Feel better soon.

  • Thanks everyone, I figured I should. I called last night and he said to just keep pushing fluids and come in today if anything changed. I'm feeling a lot better this morning so just trying to get rehydrated. Thanks for the responses.
