I have been using wool dryer balls for about 1.5 years. We moved last spring and we live in a high desert dry cold climate. All my loads are now getting really staticky... Any remedies? I use CDs too, so need something CD safe. I read about putting 2 safety pins in with the loads but haven't tried it yet..?
I agree with PP about adding more dryer balls. Also, make sure that you don't over-dry your clothes. I also notice that if I have any fleece in a load, it adds extra static, so doing those separately helps too.
I second the over-drying or using the wrinkle-free setting where the dryer will kick on every few min. after the load is finished drying will cause more static. Or fluffing the clothes after you've let them sit in the dryer for hours after they're finished drying.
