For those on heparin

I've only been doing my shots since thursday... my injection sites are so black and blue and painful to touch. I know this is common but will my body adjust to it or do I have 8 more months of this In my future?

I've been on lovenox (very similar). The bruising and pain only get worse I'm affraid, at least it seemed to for me. It seemed to help if I used an icepack before and after the injection. I wish you all the best

Hmm. Well that sucks. I guess I'll take a black and blue belly over a clot.

First off, Congrats! Being underweight for my height, I have been seeing a nutritionist for the past 6 months. As the injections go in belly fat, you understand why I wanted to gain weight bef TTC. (Caught a nasty stomach "something" in Syria in 2009 studying abroad and have been struggling with mad stomach issues since). Anywho, had a nutrition Appt this past Fri, started the shots just 4 days beforehand. I showed her my stomach....covered in bruises! Lovenoxxy Phil poked his head out and saw his shadow, so it looks like it might be a few more months! But years from now, when you tell your kids about this selfless act of jabbing yourself with rather painful medication, they'll understand what you did to bring them into this world and love you more!

My body has adjusted. My bruises are not quite so awful. I have been doing the shots 2 times a day since week 8. You got this! I had many break downs in the beginning but you do get used to it. My H would always tell me "It will be worth it in the end". I wanted to punch him every time he said that but it is true. Keep your eye on the prize and you will be fine!

I just figure out that i will have to start to go on heparine. I am a little bit of scared, but hoping for the best for my little one. This is my fourth pregnancy and no baby home yet, i miscarry prior to 8 weeks.
