Recent neonatal loss/intro

Hi ladies.  I am new to the board and wanted to introduce myself.  

My husband and I tried for two years to have a baby, went through IVF, and were blessed with our beautiful twin boys.  Unfortunately, due to chorioamnionitis at 22.5 weeks, we had to deliver and they both passed away.  Conner Timothy was born at 11:27 a.m. on Friday, January 10th, weighing 1 pound 2 ounces and a respectable 11.5 inches.  Benjamin Michael was born at 11:43 a.m., also weighing 1 pound 2 ounces and a stocky 11 inches.  They were both baptized by the same pastor who married my husband and I as soon as they were placed in my arms.  We got to hold them for a couple of hours before they passed away.  They are the greatest things to happen to me, but their death has been the source of unimaginable grief.  

I'm hoping to lend an ear to anyone going through the same thing.  For lack of better words, it sucks to join this board but its good to have a community.

I'm sorry for the loss of your boys. I agree, it sucks to welcome you, but it is a great place to connect with people are went through the same thing.

I am so sorry for your loss and having to welcome you here. My DH and I also struggle with IF and got pregnant with the help of IVF after years of treatments. We lost our son due to PROM/infection.

It definitely sucks to need this board, but please know you are in good company. This board and the individuals here are some of the most compassionate and sweet people I've ever 'met'. I hope you find support and friendship here.

Hey there. I'm in the same situation. I lost my little girl a little after 18 weeks due to chorio. It will be two weeks ago tomorrow. It's an awful awful infection. My heart goes out to you. It's difficult and I'm still waiting for official answers if we are lucky to get any. Please feel free to PM me if you want to talk. ((Hugs))

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sons.We went through multiple IVF failures before finally getting our Jack, who we lost to preeclampsia at 20 weeks. I know how painful you probably are feeling....its completely unreal.  I wish nothing but peace for you in the upcoming days and weeks and hope this board is comforting to you along the way.

I am so sorry to welcome you here and for the loss of your sweet boys, Conner and Benjamin.  It also took us 2 years and IVF to get pregnant.  I had a very difficult time dealing with IF while we were in it.  It is a heartbreaking process and so difficult for outsiders to understand.  To then lose your precious babies is unimaginable.  I am so incredibly sorry, but I will tell you that I had to grieve both our struggles with IF and the loss of our son.  I pray that you can work through your grief and give yourself grace.

Thank you all so much for your sweet words.  I am so sorry for all your losses as well.. it is such a hard place to be, but it is nice to not be alone.  I think the only comfort I have found is in those who have lost a baby.
