Finding out sex 13w2d

How many people here have had their tech or dr tell them their thought on the sex early?? I was curious how many do this and how far were you when they did? Im seeing this more and more and we have our graduation with the RE on Tuesday at 13w2d and I would love to know his thoughts but of course didnt know how accurate at this pt hed be. Let me know your experiences!

Ya i def would only take it with a grain of saltbut just with being with my RE forever Id love to hear what he thinks. And thank you! Ive enjoyed being spoiled

We are team green but apparently the tech that did our NT scan at 13w has guessed correctly that early. And she did ask if we wanted to know. I'd take it with a grain of salt, but it *might* be possible to get it right. It's a 50/50 shot either way :P

We found out the sex at 13w2d, and it turned out to be correct. My OB has very high tech u/s equipment with great resolution (much better than my RE's), does all the u/s himself (many yrs of experience), and said LO was very obviously, pretty much no doubt, a boy. REs also may have less experience in this particular department than OBs, so I'd take their guess as just that - a guess!

At my nt scan, I made a comment about how "he" likes to dance because "he" has just been my default and the tech pretty sternly told me it was way too early for even a guess.

An OB guessed mine correctly at 13 weeks and an mfm guessed at 14 weeks. They both said they were 90 percent sure

I had the NT scan at 12w6d and the tech couldn't tell. Just had my 16w appt on Friday and my OB ordered ultrasound and anatomy scan for 18-20w. The ultrasound place wouldn't schedule any earlier than 19w because it may be more difficult to tell that early.. Or so they say...

@ThoseThreeWords Perfect! Lol Then "he" works either way! I am hoping my baby is flashing the goods next week though...I have a 16 week ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday!

I also use the 'he' just because its easier for me to say so nice to know either way its right!

I asked at my NST with H but he wouldn't guess. I got an elective at 17 weeks where he made it impossible to get it wrong

13w is still really early for sex determination, but if you don't mind it maybe changing, why not?!

We're team green, but I know a few people IRL that found out around 12ish weeks and it was accurate, so it's possible.

I will find out this week (12 weeks), but from the Verifi test, not a guess on the u/s. My OB decided my last ultrasound with the RE was good at 8w2d, so now I don't get another until the a/s at 18-20 weeks.

If I was just going off of a 13 week ultrasound, I would probably ask, but expect to either be told they weren't taking a guess or that what they tell be has a 50/50 shot at being right as long as you don't mind that they might be wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong in asking.

Thank ladies. I definitely won't be running out and buying any blue or pink but think it'll be fun to get my RE's "guess" if he is even willing to give it..we shall see.  Regardless I need 19 weeks to hurry up and get here!

We had an U/S at almost 13 weeks, and the tech was 85% sure it was a boy, we had a blood test the same day, and it was confirmed!

We're another early identifier.  NT scan was at 12w6d and the tech (at the MFM) said she was 90% it was a boy.  A/S at 19w3d (with the same tech) confirmed.  I didn't buy anything until the A/S, but it was impossible to not start calling him "he" instead of "the baby".

I have a lucky nurse at my REs clinic whose too-early-to-be-accurate guesses have been correct twice. Of course when she gives a guess its more like "Think pink" and not "its a girl!" And I always get the warning that nothing on ultrasound is certain at that point.

It was a lot of fun to go back in and tell her that her guess was right but... Yeah we didn't buy anything pink or really settle on it being a girl until my ultrasound at 17 weeks.

Well my RE says hes pretty certain its a girl and showed us the parts. Of course I wont be buying pink yet.
