Anyone use Saizen (HGH) in their protocol?

My doc added Saizen to my protocol in a couple of weeks and yowzer is it expensive (almost $800 for one tiny bottle)!!! It's not covered by insurance because it's so new - but from what I've read online, it's supposed to improve egg quality.  I didn't get a close look at it when it was delivered yesterday, but it looks like it needs to be mixed and of course my clinic doesn't have a tutorial on how to prep or inject it.  May need to talk to my nurse before I start taking it...  Anyone else have experience with this stuff?

Re: Anyone use Saizen (HGH) in their protocol?

  • I used HGH for my previous cycles.  There is definitely mixed reviews on whether it helps or not.  That being said, it was really simple.  I don't recall how much liquid I was told to use.  But, you mix it similarly to Menopur if you have used Menopur before.
