DH and I are determined to use Ned either as first or middle name for this baby. My grandfather is dear to both of us. Which names sound best with the middle name Ned. Last name is 'Xander.' Feel free tom comment on the names too! Thanks!
I am feeling that way with all names with Ned in the middle spot. I think I'd rather have a name I love for a man I love in the middle spot though instead of something with no meaning or connection to me that just sounds nice...KWIM?
was your grandfather's given name, ned? or was that short for edward? i would definitely look for a way to honor him but still keep the flow of the child's name. my votes are for either callum or landry- they sound awesome with edward.
for example, my dh's mom (deceased) is mary louise, which neither of us care for but if bonusbaby turns out to be a girl, her mn will be maura (irish form of mary) which still honors my mil but keeps the name with the style we like.
Ha. I get that. Ned is also a nickname for Edmund, which is basically my all time favorite boy name. I don't suggest it often because I don't want it to get too popular. I have that kind of power, ya know. :-)
I do like Nathan Edward a lot, though!
I find myself doing that too with my dd's name! Even though it gets brought up here all the time anyway.

I like Callum from your list
Silas! I think using a meaningful name trumps not having a perfect flow, so it wouldn't stop me.
