Before DD was born we told my Mom her name was going to be Punky as in Punky Brewster. She really thought I was going to go through with that and had my sister talk to me.

I know some people think it's juvenile, but I think it's a little funny. 

I've never been pregnant, so I've never truly used any, but I imagine that I'd consider if it people pushed to know our names.  Mine would be something like Claude Crinkle Cloverbottom or Hortensia Hagglebig.  Names that are obviously not something we might choose.

We didn't share our DD's name before birth, but I think the idea of giving fake names is a little immature and silly.

When we were being badgered by friends and family members to share the name, we did tell them a few names that we considered, but had ultimately decided against for whatever reason.  It seemed to satisfy most, as the names were close in style to what we ultimately chose.

So I really suck the fun out of most threads? I've only posted like 5 times I apologize for trying to limit this thread but I got the idea from someone on this board and it didn't think it be polite to turn their idea into a thread about how it was a bad idea. If I could delete this thread I would. So let's just stop posting on it.

No-- Joy jokingly said that Daisy sucked the fun out of the thread.  We joke around a lot here.

Please don't stop posting here.  No one said anything bad or mean to you.  I said I think the idea is a little immature and silly-- that's all.
