Thoughts for a boy and which one?

Shea makes me think if Shea butter. But in any case, I've only seen Shay on a girl, so I don't think if it as a boy name.

As do I, just curious as to the norm. Looking online, it's in the 900s for boys and girls so I dint see how it's a more popular girls name, kwim?

My cousins name is Shay, a girl. I don't have a boy association at all. Shia I do, I suppose.

I really like Shea. That's the way I have seen it spelled on a boy, and Shay on a girl. I think Shea is the traditional Anglicised spelling and Shay is the more phonetic one

I would guess girl if I saw this name spelled either way sorry.   I know a Shealynn, Shay and Emma Shea     all girls.      I totally know Shea is a traditional boys name but where I live at least it seems to have gone very unisex.          I prefer the Shea spelling.

I've only seen Shea and Shay on a girl.  I prefer the Shay spelling.

I knew a Shea in high school, he was very nice, I prefer this spelling.

I don't like Shay.

My DD actually had a female Shea in her class last year. Not that I agree with that, but...

I do prefer that spelling, and on a boy.

I was thinking Shea as well. Not that it'll make DH's cut

My best friend when I was young was a Shea. (Girl). I only see it as girl because of that.
