Happy Friday! Hope everyone is doing well. 38 weeks 5 days for me. @BzeetyD looks like we are next on the list! Eventful week of apts. at obgyn apt, learned I am 2 cm dilated on Monday and said goodbye to "the plug". Gross, I know. Have about 5 contractions a day. I guess they are BH. NST was yesterday and baby decided he wanted extra attention. His baseline heart rate was in the 160s which is on the high side, and then a few times it dipped down to 120s. This earned us a bpp ultrasound and everything looked good. They think he was playing with his cord! With all that excitement, I just want him out. I wasn't having the "I can't take this any more" feeling yet, but now I'm over all the testing and anxiety it can provoke.

Qotw: just finished the nursery yesterday! It's gray, white, aqua and orange with animals. Pretty cute. I found pics on Pinterest to get ideas.

  • Congrats on those with new babies! I'm 35w5d today. Strep B test is Monday and my weekly appointments starts then too. We have our hospital tour and childbirth class on the 15th. We had a breast feeding and care of newborn class last weekend and I was really happy to see that the hospital feels the same way we do about breast feeding, immediate skin to skin contact, etc. The birth class should give us even more info and after that I'll review my birth plan/preferences with my doctor. The nursery walls are yellow and we're doing pink and green accents with jungle animals. Only the walls are painted so far and we plan to get a lot done with weekend. FIL is coming over to help put together the crib since DH still can't do much after his knee surgery. I can't wait to see it all come together!

  • Things are going pretty well. 39w on Sunday! Overall I've been still feeling really good - only at night I'm feeling more aches and pains. I did get hit with some day tiredness this week.

We had another growth u/s on Tuesday and bean was in the 39th% est to be 6lbs 14oz. Had a follow up appt on Wednesday AM, an NST (everything looked great) and cervical check (60% effaced, 1.5cm, super soft cervix, bean's head is engaged - which we saw pretty well on the u/s.) I also lost my beloved mucus plug last week and have been having looser bowels. Not a ton of BHs but some. Some low back aches too, on occasion, like I have with my period.

Our doc discussed me having low amniotic fluid at the scan and she "wasn't concerned" but was being "ultra conservative" with our history. We'll have another fluid u/s this Tuesday to check and possibly talk induction if my attempt at increased water intake hasn't improved the amount of fluid. And that's ok with us.

    @amb2013 I can't believe we're next in line. Do you have/want a labor buddy?

QOTW: Bean's room is light aqua (a color we called "the color of hope" throughout our IF/loss journey) with bright pops of red/orange, gray, white and natural wood. We love vintage items so there are a number of pieces/art and things that are vintage and the color palette was inspired by a Fisher Price toy that Mister D had as a little boy.

    image

Very very close to being done and I'll post some pics maybe this next week. We both LOVE the room SO much. It's just exactly how I imagined it.

  • Hi ladies! Can I be added please? I just started my 3rd trimester yesterday. I'm due May 1st and we are team green.
I cannot believe I am here!  Since I just came over, I could do the check-ins if nobody else does it. Is it pretty easy? I think my questions might be pretty lame, though. If there's someone else who wants to do it, though, I don't mind!
I'm 28 weeks and a day...no updates. My next appointment isn't until the 19th. We have a tour at the hospital next Wednesday.
DD's birthday was on Wednesday. She turned 4. I can't believe how much she's grown!
Our nursery isn't done but it's cleaned out and the furniture is in it's place. We painted the walls a really pretty blue. If baby is a boy, I want to do hot air balloons for a mobile and maybe some artwork. If it's a girl, maybe birds or something. We don't really do themes. I guess we're pretty boring!

  • Hi ladies! I'm 31 weeks today. Next appointment is Wednesday, and then we have our childbirth prep class/hospital tour next Saturday. I'm sleeping like crap and my hips and pelvis ache whenever I stand. Other than that everything is smooth with the LO.

QOTW: Our nursery has white furniture with soft pink and grey accents. I ordered custom letters for LO's name from Etsy in those colors with little animals on them to go on the wall, and her crib skirt and curtains are white cotton ruffles. I'm going for a vintage, feminine vibe, but not too over the top.  Will share pics when it's all done!

    Hi Ladies!
I got diagnosed with GD on Tuesday. I had my 3 hour fasting and my fasting and 1 hour were above normal limits (not crazy high though) and the next two were normal. I have a consultation with a nutrition counselor on Monday and I am really hoping I can control it by diet. I have a string history of type II diabetes in my family so I kind of had a gut feeling about this anyways. I am just not looking forward to more needles!!!

QOTD- we are doing a jungle theme for our nursery. My husband is stenciling a mural on the walls (fx it looks nice!) and the kit should arrive today so hopefully he makes some progress this weekend! Our furniture is a dark cherry wood and waiting at the store to be picked up- it came in over a month early!
Congrats to all the new mommies and good luck to those next in line!!!
Edit- for some reason a few lines at the bottom got city off!

  • Hi, laides! Congrats to the new moms, and hugs to those who need them this week!

I'm 37w4d today. At my appt on Tuesday, I was 70% effaced, 1-2cm dilated, and his head was fully engaged and edging toward +1 station. Lots of BH going on, too. I'm scheduled for an induction on 2/18 if he doesn't come on his own before that! My OB is very confident in my ability to have a successful vaginal delivery, so that was great news. The only bad news is that I've come down with a hell of a sinus infection this week. I'm on antibiotics and hoping that I can shake this before LO makes his grand arrival.

QOTW: Our nursery is pretty traditional. We painted the room a nice apple green with light blue valances for the windows. Maple wood for the crib and changing table; the rest of the furniture is white. We decided on the Peter Rabbit bedding from PBK, and it all looks super cute together. Bright and cheerful but also calm and serene. :)

  • So sorry to hear about the GD, Philly33! I was really hoping your 3-hour would turn out okay.

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and doing pretty good. Main issues are at night, with congestion, painful ear cartilage and hips, and arms falling asleep. And more tired lately. But happy and thankful for every crazy symptom! We toured one hospital and have a tour set up for the other hospital we can choose between. Sibling class is set up for DS, and DH just scheduled a Bootcamp for Dads class. Can't believe we will be delivering in 10 weeks or less!

We aren't doing a specific theme for the nursery. We are painting the room a pale purplish color and then hanging three framed watercolor paintings that DS painted (a fish, a flower, and a landscape). I'm looking forward to getting it done!

Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

  • Good luck to you ladies who are getting close to "go time" !  Hope everyone else is feeling OK.

I am 32 weeks tomorrow.  I have an appointment this week and in the midst of childbirth classes.  Really wishing I didn't still have 8 weeks of work ahead of me...it has been getting tough getting through the day with fatigue and back pain.

My nursery is just getting underway.  I guess it has a Scandinavian theme since everything is from Ikea. ;)   Right now it looks very white in there, but I am working on various artwork and quilts for the room, so there should be lots of pops of color too.
