Hello Ladies!
So, friends of ours are thinking about the name Kermit (the frog!!?). I have to admit, I thought they were joking and laughed when they told us but no, they're very serious. Just curious, what are your reactions to the name?

I have an Uncle named Kermit. When I was little he told me the frog was named after him. He was a fun Uncle. He liked the Frog connection.

I don't like it, but at least it's a real name, and we all know a lot of kids are walking around with misspelled or made-up names.

And I do know two real life Kermits. I admit that when I was little, I thought they were related to Kermit the Frog.

Personally, I would love to use Kermit, but can't get over the frog association. I think it's cool someone else is using it.

My initial thought when hearing the WORD Kermit is the frog, but when I hear a person's NAME is Kermit, I think of Teddy Roosevelt and his son Kermit.

Neither are bad associations and it is a legitimate name, and spelled correctly.
