New words

Veronica is not a big talker. She was saying just a few words for a very long time. Recently she added few more to her vocabulary and they are kind of random and very cute the way she uses them.

- doll -  The other day we were walking in the park and she saw a little baby girl in a stroller all dressed in pink and very resembling her baby doll. She stopped and pointed to the baby and yelled - doll, doll!

- berries  - she sees them everywhere even if it is apples or tomatoes.

- lights - she started to say this word pointing to christmas lights. She was so intrigued by them.

He has recently become fascinates with eyes. Peoples', animals', toys', all of the eyes. He says "eeeeeyyyyeeessss" really quietly, almost a whisper, and pokes them. He even squints really adorably and pokes his own eyes a lot when he says it. Its very strange, but totally precious!

This week his new one is "Aw man." I have no idea if it's "Amen" from church or if he's copying me, but he says it when he drops something so I think it's the latter.

He's also been saying "Rain" and "Ocean" a lot, sometimes interchangeably, when he sees water.

Avery also doesn't have a ton of words. This week she's learned to say poop and cookie. She only says poop if she's repeating me. She said cookie for the first time when she caught me eating one at Chick Fil A. She was playing in the play area with DD#1 when she spotted me eating and yelled cookie. Needless to say I had to share with two kiddos.

Her new thing is to call for someone or something and then say "where are you?" in a sing song voice. She found a hair band today and was peeking through it as she walked around the table calling, "maaaaamaaaaaa, wheh ahhhhh youuuu?"

She's been saying daddy for a while but I kept thinking she was saying diapee, so she would have to say it over and over until I got it. I guess that irritated her, because now she says da in a regular tone, then dee very forcefully. Nothing makes you feel like an idiot like your kid looking at you intently and saying "daDEE", like she's worried you're too dumb to understand.

Robert is starting to say new words everyday! He has started saying Oh Tootles for Mickey Mouse, mom instead of mama, goose, and he is obsessed with finding balls (ball!).

Fart was added to the list, that was pretty funny. I love how he repeats names. I think tyta (tyra) and leccie (lexie) are my favorites.

Last night when I was putting Ava in her chair for dinner, she saw her plate of food and smiled and said "ooohhhh! Yummy!"

She also knows most of her body parts. She says "eyes!" And points to her eyes or tries to poke our eyes out or the dogs. She also says and points to: tummy, nose, mouth, teeth, arm, hand , leg, fingers, toes, foot (her favorite), hair, ears and head. This morning she learned chin "nin", and eyebrow. It blows me away how quick she learned these.

She loves the fruit bowl I keep on the kitchen table and started saying appie for apple and nana for banana.
