I hate it when people pop in here and post something and then disappear.  My curious nature wants to know what's going on with you ladies.  The ladies with issues that request our opinions are sometimes concerning and I'd like to know what happens and that you people are okay.  No more hit and runs, please!

I'm starting to not even check the posts on the other boards because they're so negative. It could be that some people are being scared off from other sections of TB so they don't check back.

Unfortunatley thats why people need to lurk to see the tone of the board. Were one of the tamest boards. We dont even get mud.

Ill actually probably not snark drive byes on the off chance they ever actually do come back.

Although... who remembers @kennedi1 the one who was thinking about commiting suicide and was like 5 minutes pregnant.

Shed joined the bump back in 07. We actually got mud once

I haven't been here long enough to remember her. On my ED board, which I'm taking a break from, I got to think of this guy from the board as a real friend. He was from the UK, in grad school, and had a lot of things in common with me. He started to go downhill and then just disappeared. I'm not sure he's still alive. It really bothered me-still does. But that can happen sometimes with online friendships.

Her post freaked me out enough that I reached out to her via PM and a couple of postings here. I never got any kind of response.  I still think about her every day and hope, mainly, that she's still alive.

Yeah she said shed just joined the bump and was with a boyfriend who was abusive. I went and checked her profile to see if she ever posted anything else on another board.

After a little poking around i found out that was her only post but shed been a member of the bump/knot/nest communities since since august of 07

It really jaded me against the people who post once and disapear.

Id consider that different then the drive bys who come in asking for support but then after we give it never show up again. You come and offer support and participate when you can.

Me!! I started out on TheKnot in 2001, then TheNest in 2005 and TheBump in 2007. Granted...I was pretty regular on here back then so I didn't have time to forget the login....;)

I use the same email and password for almost everything or id never keep anything straight

Haha, me too. Except I got hacked (email) about a year ago and had to change a TON of passwords across the web.

Ugh.  That would be so irritating.  If someone stole my Kindle they'd have access to pretty much everything.  But password protection is such a pain in the ass.  I should do that, though.  DD loves playing with it and one of these days she's going to accidentally order something.  lol
