We have been looking for a summer nanny (MDO is closed for summer) and the prices seem to be exactly what you said. About $10-$15 an hour. Most have said $12 actually. We had one nanny in line that would take K on as she nannied for another family nearby. She was nannying the other 2 kids 9 hours a day 5 days a week and we planned to drop K off for 20 hours a week (2 1/2 days) and she was willing to do $8 an hour, but only because she was already getting $20 an hour for the other 2 kids. We haven't decided yet if we are going to do it, though.

If I take one of these jobs, it'll be over in June and I could keep Kellen. This family is in your town too.

Thanks, y'all. They both prefer kids come to keep theirs company, thankfully. The tax question is a smart one. This is why I turn to y'all. I'm sure my husband would have thought of it, but I didn't.
@Jfresh, I was thinking $220 also, so I could have wiggle room to $200.
@bellaxanthe Good question about the sick time. Thanks!

We are actually looking into a totally new daycare in Chelsea (not that we wouldn't LOVE your services!
With 2 new grandkids, my mom won't be as reliable for taking care of K one day a week so we need to find something new. Plus we don't want to have to hire summer nannies all the time. I am actually going to visit the daycare tomorrow and I am so nervous I wont like it. I just haven't been thrilled with K's new teachers and I know he will have different ones next year but still. I am ready for something new and (hopefully) better while still trying to stay in the same relative price range (very hard!).
Stacey will probably need a nanny for Cameron though!
