Yes, another mom who I thought was my friend said that to me today. It was a new type of drive by. I was like that isn't funny in the slightest. And she just looked at me bewildered until I explained why.

    I get stunning one-liners all the time, but they're usually related to the fact that people just don't understand how twins happen. ;)

    Um, what??? Does she know about your IF issues? If not, I could sort of see how she thought that would be cute/funny. But if she does know, I can't imagine how she would think that's OK.

    Nov 2012: Little buddy born in Kenya
    Nov 2013: Trying for a second, still w PCOS
    Dec 2013: IUI cycle canceled for non-response
    Jan 2014: Break cycle BFP!

    She damn well knows because we had a whole discussion two days prior about how I have to start drugging myself in the summer 4 months before we can try. And everyone in our circle knows so there was no excuse for this except stupidity. She got KU on her honeymoon.

    Ugh! That's just awful. I'm so sorry you had to hear that. After my loss, someone told me at least it wasn't a kidney stone, bc kidney stones hurt. Wtf. People are a-holes.

    Eta-to answer your question, we don't get too many stupid comments anymore, but we got a ton when we were going through our IVF cycles. We were pretty open about IF, so if I had gotten that comment, I would have said something like 'well, it took 2.5 years for 6 IUI's and 3 IVFs, so I'll guess you'll win. Congratulations.'

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    The insensitivity of some people is unbelievable.
    A woman in my BMB threw herself a pity party when she complained that she did not conceive the first month if TTC after a m/c. Maybe I'm just a bitter infertile beotch.

    Someone on my BMB kept telling us back in the fall how she was going to get pregnant in December blah blah blah. Now it is Feb and she is not pregnant, but apparently every other woman in her family is, and she literally said she was "going to throw a tantrum if anyone else gets pregnant before her." I couldn't even bite my tongue. I basically let her have it. Semi-nicely.

    @kzawisl Different BMB but essentially same post. She had to wait 'weeks' while everyone else is pg. Cry me a river.

    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    It's sad that so many ppl speak without thinking.
    MF (low motility) - Began stims for IVF#1 7/21/12
    ER 8/2/12 - 14 eggs retrieved, 12 mature and ICSI'd, 6 fertilized. ET 8/7 - 2 embies. Beta#1 8/17: 143! Beta#2 8/20: 590! Beta#3 8/22: 1,162! 1st US 9/4: one beautiful little bean with the best sounding HB I've ever heard!
