Do all of the infant car seats click onto grocery carts? Saw a baby in its car seat and it clicked onto the grocery cart by the handle of the cart and wanted to know if every car seat will do this or is this also something to look for in a car seat?
very very dangerous practice. never put an infant seat in the top portion of the shopping cart. Allot of seats are being designed to deter parents from using the seat this way . There is no seat out on the market that is made to snap in and evey single seats instructions will specifically state not to do this.
No. It is very unsafe. Just because the seat looks like it clicks in, it really doesn't and can easily be thrown off the cart by someone walking by and bumping it, hitting something etc.
Go on youtube and search for the Home Depot video of the parent who had their kid on top of a cart.
You should put an infant carrier up in the seat portion of the cart. Buy a stroller with a large basket..that's what I grocery shopped with or baby wear when shopping

NO...and in additional to all the concerns above there is also the concern that clicking it on a cart damages the clicking mechanism...which is what holds the seat secure in a car. Thereby potentially making it useless in a car crash.
So not worth the risk. I wore my daughter until she was old enough to sit in the seat of a cart...I still wear her should she not be in the mood to be in the cart.
And a lot of 'stupid questions' are actually very worthwhile to ask. Most people out there with infants on the top of carts never asked this question so were not informed of the dangers.
