3rd Trimester

Gall Bladder Attack-X post

Hello everyone.  I do not usually do a lot of posting on the bump, but I was hoping someone could relate or help me.  I am just entering my 2nd tri and  I had a gall bladder attack a few days ago.  My doctor did and ultrasound on gallbladder and did blood work.  I have gall stones.  He said hopefully I will not have any more attacks per a diet change as they would like to wait to remove the gall bladder after the babe is born.  Has anyone had this issue before?  Also, with the diet change and no fat/low fat diet, Im worried about not getting enough calories needed during pregnancy-any thoughts about this as well?  Thank you.

  • I had that with my daughter. But they did't catch till after she was born and had to have it removed. You can still get all your calories and everything just watch what you eat and stay away from fast food, that's a big one also fiber will also help with your bowel movements. I hope this helps and you don't have anymore attacks!

  • I suffer from gallstones to! Im 35 weeks and im sorry to say the bigger bub gets the worse the attacks. I have avoided all foods that i was told about and still have problems. Try to deal with it best you can the only thing that helps sometimes is being on an iv in hospital. I wish you all the best!
