Really I need some things explained.... and I will apologize ahead of time for being so ignorant about charting. I was extremely lucky and got my BFP before I learned about charting. So I'm clueless 

I'm trying to figure out how far along I am. The ticker of course is going by my LMP. Is it impossible to figure out ovulation if you were not charting? Or can you figure it out by how long your cycles are?

I had my LMP on November 11. We had unprotected sex on Nov 21. (Yes I know because I've never been on the pill and we use condoms. Except the night before the OSU-Michigan game.) I got my BFP on Dec. 9.

I always have had very regular 28 day cycles. I guess I'm confused... from what I've read sperm can live up to 72 hrs... It seems that would have "missed" my O... from everything I've put into to O calculators the 14th day of a 28 day cycle is when O occurs?

Anyone that could get through this... care to enlighten me?

get an ultrasound then you will know for sure..But since sadly you do not have a chart, no one can tell anything for you...So Your GYN is still only going to calculate based on your last menstrual period...so plug that in and voila!

Is the only time you had sex that cycle Nov.11? If thats the case pretty obvi to me...

You wont know exactly what day but its not like its a magical mystery machine in there...

I'm not sure that you can figure out your exact O date without charting. Wouldn't think so.

umm yea also, based on your lmp, have you made a dr appointment yet? If so it should be any day now so just figure it out then

First off, congrats on your BFP :]

 Most doctors will go by your LMP, if for any reason you're measuring ahead or behind you will probably get an ultrasound to date your pregnancy.

 Just because you've always had a regular 28 day cycle doesn't necessarily mean you O'ed on CD 14. Those O calculators are crap and there really is no other way to determine when you might have Oed other then charting.

Not all women ovulate on day 14 of their cycles...even those women who have "regular" cycles (in that they are the same # of days each time) may ovulate at different times. Based on having unprotected sex on the night of the 21st, I'm guessing you probably ovulated any time from the 22nd to the 24th or so. That would mean you probably ovulate around day 11 to 13 of your cycle, which is perfectly normal.

No, it's not the only day we had sex. Only day without protection. It's totally possible that one of the other times the condom didn't do it's job... just hard to believe that the one time we didn't use protection we'd get KU with a bum condom.

My 1st OB appt is not until 11 wks... (which is part of the anxiety!) I've just read so many stories of people that are a up to 2 wks less along than they thought... and freaked out that the baby is not growing.

Guess will just have to wait and see! Thanks again!

Without charting or using OPK there is no way to know for sure when you ovulated.  From what I have read most women do not ovulated on CD 14.  For instance, I have a 28 day cycle and generally ovulate on CD16.  I know this because I chart.

I wish! My OB is out of the country... and she just saw me for my annual 2 wks before my BFP so she had no concerns. I am thankful she didn't have to see me early.... the waiting is hard though. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree, the chances are pretty low that the knocking up was done whilst wearing a raincoat rather than the time he was flyin free.

Yes it was. And this is crazy.... My Great Grandmother is 98 and is in incredible health! She's so spunky and awesome. We will have 5 generations. Crazy!!! (And I'm 32 so it's not like I'm a baby!)
