what a brave move! For a huge drugstore to pull all tobacco. I imagine that will be a huge money loss for them, so I think it's pretty cool that they looked beyond the loss, and instead looked to the actual customers and their health. Awesome!

I always thought it was silly that you could buy them at a pharmacy anyway.

The NPR article of this was posted in one of my other groups, and a member said that she could see people getting all "BUT MAH RIGHTS TO SMOKE AND BUY WHEREVER!!!1!!!11!1!!1!" over this, which I can totally see happening too.  But really, it's not a federal ban, and there are still plenty of places to buy cigs.

Exactly. And I don't really see other drugstores following suit and doing the same, because I think they'll be more money hungry and want the business CVS will lose in sales of cigs.  I think it's awesome!
