Happy Hump Day, ladies! How's the weather by you? It's a nasty, snowy, slippery mess here in north Jersey. I'm supposed to go to work at noon today but I'm hoping our office will close. Stay safe and warm wherever you are!

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Pretty well on both fronts. I still get a bit nervous if I haven't felt him move in a while.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? Nope.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? Apples: We're making some progress on the nursery and registry finally. Onions: I think we're out of reasonable treatment options for my dog. They suggested exploratory surgery to try to determine what's going on, but I don't want to put her through that. She's 13 1/2 years old and doesn't like being away from me. We're talking to the vet this morning to see what signs to watch for so that we know when it is time. It is so heartbreaking and hard. I'm a mess.
GTKY: Who takes care of finances in you household? Do you budget or just wing it? Share some tips if you got 'em! Eh, we don't really have a hard & fast system. We still maintain separate accounts. It works for us. All the household expenses and groceries come out of my account and DH pays for entertainment, eating out, vacations, etc.
1st BFP-8/17/12! Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US. D&C.
2nd BFP-2/13/13! Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
3rd BFP-5/22/13! By early June, progesterone plummeting. Another loss.
August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Feeling pretty good. Cranky I guess (DH got the worst of it last night and decided to sleep in the spare bedroom, so I feel shitty this morning)
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? No appointments this week.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week?
Apples: Nothing spectacular - just having a fun week planning & buying for the nursery
Onions: Starting to feel like I cant keep up with my workload. It seems as though my boss is intentionally trying to make things difficult for me by giving unrealistic deadlines. I have been doing a lot of work on my own time to keep up and am frankly getting tired of it.
GTKY: Who takes care of finances in you household? Do you budget or just wing it? We maintain separate bank accounts. DH is very diligent at tracking expenses in his spread sheet. We have certain bills split up that we pay for and at the end of the month we settle-up if one of us paid more. It wont work while I am on mat leave and I am bringing home less than half of my salary, but it has worked for 7+ years so far.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Physically I am really tired this week. I need a weekend to relax, which looks like it won't happen until the middle of April. I have a shower every weekend from now until April 6 for babies or weddings. Seriously, everyone I know is knocked up. Emotionally, I have been doing a lot better this week. I just want to sleep.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? No baby updates yet. I have my glucose test and regular check up in 2 weeks.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? Apples- I get to go up to the Y Camp I usually run in the summer this weekend. It will be my last chance to go before the baby comes and since I can't go this summer, I am really looking forward to it. DH and I got engaged there, so it is a special place for us.
Onions- I have a parent at work who is getting under my skin. I teach special education, but the students have high functioning autism or Asperger's and can work academically on or close to grade level. One parent is clearly doing the work for her child and it isn't helping him. When I asked her about it, she said it is really my fault she is doing it because it is confusing for her and her son, and, if it is confusing for her, then it must be too hard. What really irritates me is that the reason this particular assignment was hard for her son was because he was messing around on the computer while he was being given instructions and that students who are lower functioning than he is were able to complete it just fine!
GTKY: Who takes care of finances in you household? Do you budget or just wing it? Share some tips if you got 'em! ME!!! If DH were in charge, everyone we own would be repossessed. Seriously, he never remembers to pay bills. We don't have a budget per se, but I check out account every day. I wish I had a better system. We are trying to get out of some of the credit card debt we accrued when DH was in paramedic school.
How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Mostly fine on both fronts.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? I have my 1-hr GTT tomorrow afternoon, so hoping I pass that. And today is V-Day so I am really happy about that!
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? It's only Weds morning and I've already worked 2 12-hr days and I'm flat out exhausted. I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep for days. I'm just really in a pissy mood about my work in general lately, and I find it sad that I'd rather go have my GD test done tomorrow and drink the nasty drink and have blood drawn than be at work. Oh well.

We do have a budget and we try to stick to it as much as possible. It's been very helpful for us, especially in planning for things like a new baby and partially unpaid maternity leave!

Physically- by the en of the day my back is practically out. My hips hurt ALL the time! Fatigue is back!!
Emotionally-stressed by all the crap that still needs to be done in the next 3 mths

MH brings home the money I pay the bills with it and get some food for the week a huge chunk of it goes to gas and I try to stop him from wasting what tiny bit may be left. He gets paid on Friday and we're usually broke by sun/mon.
Hi Lunabug! I don't think I realized that you were in Jersey, I'm a Jersey girl as well. (Union County) Hope you're holding up OK in this snow/ice event! They closed my office in Florham Park so I'm working from home and watching DS since daycare is closed as well.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Physically I've been much better. I caught a horrible stomach bug from DS over the weekend and basically went from Sunday afternoon until yesterday unable to eat any real food. Thankfully I had a little stash of Zofran which I think helped me kick it sooner and allowed me to keep liquids down. Now that the bug has passed, I got a nasty rash all over my belly which my doctor attributes to the stomach bug. My body always gets a weird rash like this when I'm sick.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? I had an ultrasound yesterday and baby boy is already 2 lbs! He's doing great and she always shows me a 3D shot and gives me some photos. He's getting cuter and cuter!
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? Apples:Seeing my baby boy again and getting reassurance that all is well with him. Onions: Aside from my horrible stomach bug, I know this is lame but this weather is just killing me. I'm SO over this winter. I have the worst cabin fever and it's making me depressed. Spring can't come soon enough!

I handle everything online which makes it all so much easier. I created our budget in excel so I always know what to expect and I pay bills 2x's per month. The only tip I have is to only spend what you have and keep lines of credit as low as possible. I absolutely hate having credit card debt so we try our hardest to live within our means without large credit card purchases.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Physically, starting to get really uncomfortable at night while trying to sleep but nothing too bad yet. Emotionally, I was having a hard time until Monday, but it's all good now
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? V-day was Monday, and I had my MFM appt to check cervix and placenta. Got great news that everything is in fantastic shape and am officially released back to my OB with no restrictions! It was a really great way to end the anxiety I was getting in the long wait between appointments.
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? Apples:DD turned 11, and our little lady is moving so much more this week. I love it! Onions: snow. I'm so sick of it!
GTKY: Who takes care of finances in you household? Do you budget or just wing it? Share some tips if you got 'em! We sort of split it- DH handles some stuff, I handle others. We kept separate accounts, but have joint credit cards and put everything on those and pay them off every month. It works for us.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Huge and my back hurts sitting at work all day.. ugh. Other than that just kind of tired (maybe more lazy than tired, but same type thing), but pretty good.
Any appointments, ultrasounds, milestones, or other baby related updates this week? Have an appointment tomorrow where they do the glucola test.. oh joy!
What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? Apples: We got off work yesterday and got to come in late today because of the weather, so it pretty much feels like Monday today. I'm really counting on that making the rest of the week go by quickly. Onions: I feel like I'm losing my energy again as I near the end of the 2nd-tri and I have Way too much to do in the next few months for that crap. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I do, and I really should be better at budgeting (and plan to be with the baby coming), but I am ashamed to say I mostly just wing it. I have no tips. Just trying to get the bills paid on time.

There are certain bills that I pay and there are certain ones that he pays. If we decide to make a big purchase, we discuss together how / who will pay it.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Generally pretty good. Every few days my back is really sore but I think it depends on my how my work day goes.

GTKY: Who takes care of finances in you household? Do you budget or just wing it? Share some tips if you got 'em! I take care of a majority of them. Before DH was in charge of some bills and they never got paid so I just do it all. We have an idea of how much money we need for certain things but it's much more wining it than a budget. We try just to use our debit cards/cash or pay off the cc right away. During mat leave we'll be sticking just to cash/debit I think.

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally) Physically I'm feeling very...pregnant. Haha. I'm not in pain per se, but not exactly comfortable either. Emotionally I'm doing ok. My EDD for my second pregnancy was on Monday. I actually felt pretty good all day, just a few moments where I let myself reflect and be a little sad. I'll have another EDD anniversary to pass before I give birth, so the fact that I'll be passing 2 milestone dates in 1 pregnancy is weighing a little heavy right now.

What else is going on? Apples and Onions this week? Apple: My dad has been away and just got back yesterday. I'm just glad he got got home safely in between storms. Onion: On my way home tonight I cracked my passenger side mirror while backing into my garage. I went to give it a little gas to get over the threshold and the car slipped a little. Not a ton of damage, literally just the glass. But it was enough to turn me into a crying blubbering mess and I scared the crap out of DH when I called him. Damn hormones!

I asked this specifically because DH and I just had "the talk" about finances last night. We've always just winged it. Everything we have is combined, and we always know what we have and what we can spend, but we've never been great at saving. So we're working on creating a budget. Now we just need to stay off Amazon.com!

How are you feeling? (Physically and emotionally). Definitely feeling more at ease with the start of third trimester. Heartburn and lower back pain have come to join the party though!

DH set up an excel spreadsheet that has formulas for our weekly/monthly/annual incomes and expenses. It's pretty cool and helps a ton with money management.
