Workhorse vs Kissaluvs NB fitteds clicky poll

I'm finishing up my NB stash and have in my possession (along with some prefolds and AIOs)
1 kissaluvs NB fitted and
1 orange GMD work horse with snaps.
I thought once I had them I'd be able to decide which I liked better but with no baby to test it on yet, I have no idea! They both seem to have their different merits, so I'm wondering what everybody's preference is, especially with the large price difference. And for those who love the workhorses, do you prefer snaps or snapless? Is one brand more absorbent than the other? Like maybe one is better at night and it would be good to get a few of both? I think i'm leaning towards the workhorses right now but can't decide so I'm all ears. Sway me! :)

  • This content has been removed.
  • I also prefer snapless. I had some with snaps and ended up getting frustrated with them in the middle of the night and using a snappi on them anyway and ignoring the snaps.

  • I haven't used the workhorses, but I will likely get a few if we have a second child.

I think the main difference that I can tell is that the Kissaluvs have a snap to fold down and stay out of the way of the umbilical cord. We didn't start to CD until after DS's stump fell off (11-13 days?), so it didn't really matter to us, but second time around we will probably feel more comfortable doing CD from day 1.

My guess is with the workhorses or with any prefolds you could just fold or pin the front of the diaper out of the way.
  • Work horse, snapless. I can get a better fit.

  • I voted SS just so I could see the results. :p I haven't used either yet. I think we had a Kisaa Fitted in a larger size, and if that's what it was, I didn't love it. But I have major Swiss cheese brain this morning, so who knows.

  • Thanks girls! Looks like snapless workhorses are the way to go. And @freezorburn that's a great idea to just fold or even pin down the workhorse for the cord stump. @SecretAgentKate maybe it's the foggy preggo brain, but it totally makes sense to just get the cheaper one for the NB phase. We're talking less than half the price for the GMDs too, $13 vs $5.25. That should've been a no-brainier right there.
    Thanks again!
  • Workhorse, shapeless, I have some with snaps and hate them. These are my go to dipe out of everything I have, going to buy more when I can.
  • I liked the kissaluvs better until her umbilical cord fell off because they did snap down in the middle. Now I prefer the workhorses. I bought them without snaps and have been really happy with them. I think my husband prefers the kissaluvs though. Truly though both have been great. I think you'll be happy either way.
  • I actually really like the WH with snaps.  I agree that you can get a better fit without the snaps, but you can still use a snappi and bypass the snaps if you want to.
