I have a 3 year IUD. Ive had it in for almost 1 year. The past couple of months my period has gotten longer (almost doubled) and its cycle is crazy. It would be light, medium, heavy,done, medium, nothing, heavy done. Very bizarre. Anyone else have this issue?

    I had issues with mine for about the first year and a half... I had a mix between spotting and regular bleeding all that time,( I had a break from bleeding one week out of the month)  then these past three years nothing at all... Since it is a foreign object your body is probably trying to adjust, I guess. I'm sorry if this is no help... but that is the only experience I have had. I hope things get back to normal for you.
