PR, would you take them in or no? Update

Ds had the flu diagnosis 3 Mondays ago. He still has a nasty cough. Hasn't thrown up but coughs to where he sounds like he will. No fever and not coughing to that point constant but a few times a day. Dd was coughing a lot last night but was able to sleep through it which I was surprised. Ds is 3, dd is 8 months. It is sleeting out and supposed to snow. Dh has our weather car so just wondering if it's enough to have him come home or if we should try tomorrow?

Update: dd has upper resp infection. Ds has sinus infection. Meds for both, glad I went.

  • My drs office always chooses to see them no matter what I call into question. They open at 830 today and will call. I just know for coughs are either something or nothing. They both have no other symptoms. Just wondering if it's work driving risk.

  • With the flu and it being such a nasty cough, I'd go in. My younger twin sisters had that back in the day and ending up having pneumonia. They were under a year and just had a nasty lingering cough without any other symptoms.
Is rather go in for nothing than not go in and something bad coming from that.

  • Yeah I just had to see if dh could come home from work to give me our car. He's coming, I have an appt for both kids at 10. Prayers and good vibes for our drive there and back please. I just didn't know if you'd risk the weather. Thanks guys. I'll update in a bit

  • Yes, pneumonia is a complication of the flu so I would take them in.
