I like Edward, but I have a good friend named Edward, nicknamed Teddy, so I am biased.

Never think of Twilight.

I didn't think Twilight until I saw your poll and then I couldn't NOT think it. Edward was my grandfather's name.

I'm not crazy about the name Edward.  It IS classic, which is probably why they used it in Twilight, but I do think the series is still too fresh to use it without people thinking of Edward Cullen.  Even DH, who has never even watched the movies or read the books, says it makes him think of Twilight.

My DS is Edward Thomas. I think it is classic and not one person has ever asked me if I named him after the Twilight character.
