Babysitter rates

We're lucky to have family in the metro area who have always baby sat for us, but my husband and I both agree one of these days we should expand our network and find some local junior high/high school/college age students to occasionally watch our son. What is the going rate for baby sitters in the metro area? I assume it would vary based on how many kids are being watched, but what about the age of the child, the age of the baby sitter, or location in the metro? We live in Woodbury.
