Did you let LO stay up later than normal for Super Bowl?

We did and I totally regret it. We went to a friends house to watch the game. The kids were well behaved but barely ate because they were so distracted and DD was amped up by the time we got home around 10. She was up all night on and off. Whenever her normal bedtime/routine is disrupted she sleeps like crap plus she was starving at like 3am because she barely ate.
I handled her most of the night except for once when DS was awake for an hour... DH had the audacity to complain that he was so tired and needed to be up tomorrow. Really, because I wasn't tired and didn't need to function today?!?

Re: Did you let LO stay up later than normal for Super Bowl?

  • We didn't really watch the Superbowl.  We were at my parents' house, and my dad was watching intermittently, but we left around 8:45.

BUT....DD was up late because my mom was feeding her cookies after dinner.  And fruit snacks before dinner.  I was mad.  I don't mind her having a treat when we visit, but I do NOT need her having chocolate and sugar at 8:30 pm.  It really kills me because my mom was pretty picky about our diets as kids, when I was two, there was no way I was eating three cookies right before bedtime.

  • Yep and she wake at 4:30am. Doesn't help that she doesn't nap anymore. We left our friends's house before the game was over because she was awful.
  • We have never had a firm schedule so he didn't have a  meltdown or anything. he just slept till 9:30. LOL!
