  • Day 5 of being vegetarian again after a 7 year hiatus (with carnivore DH) and I've lost 2.5 lbs so far!
I've also tried doing yoga more and was successful 3 days this week.

  • Love this!  Thanks for posting.  We can all use the motivation.

I was good this weekend: barre class on Sat and spin on Sun.  I also signed up for a introductory rate for one month unlimited at the barre studio and my plan is to go Tues/Thurs early AM, Wed spin class after work when nanny stays late and Sat OR Sun barre class again.  The Tues/Thurs class is at 5:45, but it is the only time that works without making DH do the whole morning routine.

Eating was not terrible but not great.  Have a big client dinner tonight and am fasting in preparation. ;)

  • @OhBenji it was difficult for about two days. Maybe since I was veggie before it is an easier adjustment for me.

These past 7 years my weight has increased and I felt tired all the time. I'm hoping this change will increase my energy levels as well. :)

DH always says I should become a vegetarian. Most meat grosses me out (TWSS lol). When I do eat meat I am VERY particular about it.

Try it and see if you like it!  I was like you before and I've been a vegetarian for six years now.  I transitioned slowly -- I continued to eat fish for 1.5 years and then stopped that New Year's Day 2008.  I find it encourages me to make healthy choices and instead of feeling restricted, I am actually eating a wider variety of foods.  My husband eats meat, but we don't cook it at home.  We are raising our son vegetarian, but at some point he can choose to eat meat with my husband.

My son would love this. He HATES meat.
  • I love seafood and fish and eggs. I know the seafood won't be considered vegetarian i can try to cut it out slowly.
