Re: **Pregnant After a Loss (Pgal) Check In**
Team: green
Feeling: crowded. Can't sleep because I can't get comfortable. Pretty good trade off for being so pregnant. Emotionally I'm in a good spot too. A tad anxious to just get the baby here. I had my first dream last night about baby coming that ended with a healthy child, so that was a nice change of pace.
updates: baby flipped wrong side up, so I have ~5w to coax it back head down. Otherwise everything looked good at Friday's appt. I'll be calling today to set up a growth scan for the 1st week of March.
Cravings: I'm the worst pregnant lady ever and haven't had them. DH is a little upset about this situation.

How are you feeling physically? sore, achy, uncomfortable, tired, HUGE! I know I still have a "long" way to go but it's hard for me to imagine getting any bigger. I keep telling Dh is it even possible for me to get any bigger and more uncomfortable... my friends who have gone full term assure me that it is very possible lol
Emotionally? I'm getting excited, but that's what scares me the most. I love our baby and I want to be happy and excited but there's just that part of my brain that keeps telling me that something may still go wrong... I'm workingn on it though. Dh and I have plans to buy a crib next week.
Upcoming appointments or milestones? I'll be 28weeks on Wednesday that was one of our biggest goals for this pregnancy so I'm so thankful that we made it
GTKY: What has been your biggest craving this pregnancy? I haven't had very many specific cravings but I have been eating things in combinations that are not typically my normal preferences like a bowl of cereal and a pb&j sandwich. An orange and strawberry jello. Cheese and crackers with chocolate candy. Oh and the other night I ate my mashed potatoes with tortilla chips:/ Random stuff like that...
Now I want Wendy's or McD's for lunch

How are you feeling physically? Feeling pretty good, just have hip pain when I sleep.
Emotionally? Doing okay.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: just my weekly progesterone shot.
GTKY: What has been your biggest craving this pregnancy? French Fries
Team: Pink
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally?
Physically I'm feeling pretty good...emotionally too. This has been a good week. I'm about a week away from my next doctor's appointment, which also makes me very happy
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones:
My first appointment with my new HROB (the guy who will be delivering me) got moved to February 12 instead of 11th, just one day difference. They were trying to move it to February 20th but I pointed out to them that then I'd be potentially only 2 weeks away from delivering if I did that (delivery is going to be between 34 and 36 weeks) so they miraculously found a place for me. Then of course that made me realize just how very close I am!! Ahhh!!
GTKY: What has been your biggest craving this pregnancy?
Olives and chocolate. Not necessarily at the same time, but not necessarily separate either. I eat olives so much I became worried about all the sodium and so I now rinse them first and then eat them...I'm so gross.
Team: green
Feeling? Physically? I've been feeling pretty good but the no sleep thing is getting old as is the heartburn.
Emotionally? The GD is taking a toll on me emotionally. Everytime I test I worry about my # and stress about them making me start on insulin. Also I'm stressed about interventions they may push for now that I have this diagnoses.
Upcoming appts: follow up with diabetic counselor Thursday and 32 wk check up Friday.
Cravings? Peanut butter with anything and lately anything sweet since its kind of out of the question now. Always want what I can't have
@jgreig83, thankfully we do have 2 backup plans, we needed to. A close friend of mine who lives here in CT and is available and also my sister-in-law, who is a nurse. I just really want DH to be there, it's a big moment and of course we're waiting to find out the sex until Baby Porter arrives. DH actually had a dream Saturday night that I delivered a baby girl and never even told him, he just showed up back home from a work trip and there she was. It was so sad
I know it could be so much worse in that he could be deployed overseas, but I hate the fact that he's gone every week for work and since we don't know when the baby will arrive, he can't plan to be home for a month waiting, just incase, so we just have to hope that the timing works out so that he'll actually be here! It's stressful.

@vinny424 I love your description of a wet cat in a pillow case and can totally relate.
@Mrs+Hebert good luck with the GTT!
@ Leighbball good luck selling your H on the extra scan- some places run promotions regularly, so keep an eye out- maybe at the right price he won't object.
@porterlove525 I hope your DH is there, fwiw I went into labor on my EDD with DD, maybe you'll be so lucky.
@laroo0220 I would bet with all your monitoring of food and blood you're one of the healthiest pregnant ladies out there (not withstanding @porterlove525's continued crossfit).
Natural miscarriage @ 8 weeks - 3/8/2005
Big Brother "Skippy" born - 2/28/2007
Missed miscarriage - (EDD 3/5/2013) - D&E @ 11 weeks - 8/8/2012
"Hen" (EDD 6/7/2013) - born sleeping @ 19 weeks - 1/15/2013
"G-Unit" born - 4/14/2014 and he's 100% perfection!!
I am feeling pretty good all around, just tired but that's nothing new with a 2.5 year old running around!
@vinny424 - 3D ultrasound sounds fun! We are Team Green so I don't get to try it, be sure to share a pic after!
@ksulli nice to have a happy baby dream!
@mrs+hebert I would love a glass of champagne too! That is quite the craving!
@leighbball I say if it will make you feel better, it's totally worth the extra $$ to sneak in an extra ultrasound! It's like paying for peace of mind!
@snmetz7, cheese and carbs is SUCH a good combo! You just can't go wrong. I had lasagne last night and cheesy fries and it was delicious!
@porterlove525 - good for you for keeping up an exercise routine!!!
@hvmom2b I hear you on the crying for anything! I had a total breakdown because DH is going back to work like 4 days after my c-s. I made him call to take one extra day and it made me feel SO much better.
@tracint congrats on making it to 28 weeks tomorrow! Have fun crib shopping.
@thomas930 I've heard of those lightning crotch pains but never had them myself. Yay for going med-free! I went med-free with my son until it went to c/s, but I got to a 10 and pushing au natural. My doc said I got 2 births for the price of 1, ha ha! Gatorade really helped me through!
@curliewhirlie I had a sinus infection a few weeks back and tried the Nettie Pot for the first time, it was an amazing help!
@checca23 French fries are amazing! The end.
@jgreig83 sitting at a desk all day can be so uncomfortable! You should try a bouncy ball, it feels great during the last trimester!
@mustardseed2007 Good call making them move your appointment earlier! It will be nice to meet your HROB.
@laroo0220 Hi Team Green! Try not to stress too much about the GD. You are doing an amazing job keeping things healthy for your baby! Just think, there are probably people out there who cheat on the numbers all the time or sneak in sweets.
@rubikself - I remember on Friends Phoebe craved burgers when she was pregnant, he he. Have you indulged your craving or are you sticking to a vegetarian diet?
@eme520, thanks for checking in! Nice that you got off work early. It sounds like your doula is amazing! Congrats on making a decision, it sounds like you made the right one! That must have been a tough week having two loss milestones so close together, but so nice that you go to see your little one in there!
I'll try to check back in later but I'll have my little guy home so it might not happen! Hope you all have a great day!
Emotionally having a hard time since I found out I have borderline high amniotic fluid which is why I have been measuring four weeks ahead. I shouldn't have googled since the possible problems with baby and serious delivery complications have me feeling pretty down. The only thing that keeps me somewhat positive is we had the level 2 ultrasound where everything looked good.
You are the best

How are you feeling physically? Emotionally?
Physically I feel like there is a boulder sitting on my pelvis. Emotionally not sad, not happy just meh...nothing to crazy going on here. I am tired of the snow though I wish spring would come.
Upcoming appointments or milestones: I was supposed to have a belly check today but it got rescheduled so now I go in tomorrow afternoon. I also have my hospital tour Wednesday so I'm looking forward to that.
What's your biggest craving this pregnancy? Well I like colored Swedish fish and sour patch kids at a snack. Lately I can't get enough of frosted flakes I have honestly been eating them all day for over a month
