Hi girls.
I'm 2dp5dt and thank god it was a busy weekend. All I can say is im a bit numb and truly scared to poas...More than ever this time. Im scared of failure and to have to repeat this all over again. But I'm hanging there. It was a rainy Superbowl Sunday and I had a ok time. Besides our broncos losing!
Me and DH are quite on edge lately and it's been hard.
I'm just ready for some happy to come my way.
Qotw: growing up I had two older sisters. I was the baby and me and my older sis would gang up on my middle sister. We loved horror movies and she didn't so older sis would sit on her and hold her head while I tried to keep her eyelids open and make her watch Friday the 13th or Halloween!! Lol middle sis is still a cry baby!!

Hi ladies!

I'm feeling pretty good especially after our Mat21 results came back. Our next appointment isn't until the 20th so I'm trying to keep myself calm until then.

QOTW: I had two little brothers and we were always getting into messes. One time, my mom put us all in the bathtub together (we were all under 4) and I decided it would be a good idea to splash water onto the linoleum to make an "ice skating rink." The older brother of the two and I were slipping and sliding around on the floor having the time of our lives, when I look in the tub and see the littlest brother pooped in the tub. I screamed like I was dying, and my mom came running in and slipped on our ice skating rink and fell into the poopy tub.

Always supervise your kids at bathtime. Seriously, mom!

Hi Everyone --

Thanks @2mamazinseattle for the shout out.   We triggered last night and are in at the crack of dawn tomorrow for our ER.  We are expecting the transfer to be February 9, assuming everything goes well.

We're doing well.  H. is pretty uncomfortable these days and super bloated, but she's eating her anti-OHSS diet (mostly gatorade, salt and protein) - so we're doing what we can.   I was stupid this morning and took my prenatal well before eating anything, so that plus the estrogen and I'm suffering some pretty intense nausea this morning.

I'm excited to move on to the ER, and scared, and a little bewildered and overwhelmed!   I sort of wish I could take all next week off of work to process but I think two days is the most I'll be able to do now.

Our insurance is also giving me a "process" about our med charges now, so I'm stressed and afraid they are going to refuse the $6500 payment.   Technically, as of last year, our meds were all covered and there wasn't a max on it --- but that could have changed without warning, so I'm afraid...

Argh.  I'm just generally stressed today!   That said - I'm following along and hoping everyone is well.

QOTW:  My mom's favourite childhood tales of me always have to do with the fact that I was a dramatist from the beginning.   I used to sit in the shopping cart and sing the jingles of the products I recognized from the commercials while we were shopping -- apparently it was adorable.   I have vivid memories of using the "no mess, no fuss!" slogan on her as a reason why we should definitely get pump toothpaste instead of tube as a 3 year old.

Check in: Our carriers estrogen and progesterone levels came down nicely at her last appointment and she started Estrace.So if everything continues to go well, I will go in for my baseline on the 12th. I am really hoping that I finally get to take an active role in this. I kind of feel like things have ground to a halt for me. 

QOTW: I am an only child and my mom was a stay at home mom, so everyday in the summer I always got to have two friends over (their moms worked) and we would literally spend from 11am until 5pm in our backyard pool and/or riding bikes to the cookie factory in town to eat the free samples. That is an amazing way to spend a summer!

Giving us an EDD of Christmas week, yes this is bothering me too. I know it's the least of our problems, I just want to give our potential future children everything (including a good birthday)... I know I'm being ridiculous. This is our 7th IVF cycle, nothing has ever worked. I shouldn't even care about this, but I do. ______________________________ Qotw - I used to dress up my cat in doll clothes and put him in a doll baby cradle. Lol!! He was the best cat ever and he even let me hold him like a baby!! As an adult, I got another black cat because I wanted another one like the one I had when I grew up... This did not happen, but she's absolutely our spoiled baby!!!

We are just waiting for my donor's period to start so RE can get her Day 3 labs and baseline done before she starts bcp.  I know she is suppose to start early next week so I don't expect to hear much of anything this week.  In the meantime I have been reading way too much online about DE.  Our FET won't be until late March or early April (feels like forever).  I am going to try and focus on losing some weight before then and getting super organized at home while I wait.

QOTD:
I was in gymnatics when I was little.  For some reason I insisted that I wear underwear under my leotard.  In every gynmastics picture I have I have white underwear sticking out of my leotard... not a little bit... like a crazy amount.  I look like an idiot and I am still mad my mom let it happen.

QOTW: Gosh my memory is awful. I do remember my friend and I always dressing up my little brother in girl clothes and putting curlers in his hair. Poor thing. Oh and a fav is when my brother and I ate and drank from a bowl and wore leashes because we were dogs. Only did that when grandma watched us because mom wouldn't let us

Check-In: I finally told 2 friends last week that I'm PG and it made me so nervous. I can't imagine how nervous I'll be this weekend when we tell my extended family! My NT scan is this Thursday, so I'm looking forward to seeing the LOs again.

QOTW: My sister is a little less than 2 years older than me and when we were little she convinced me that we should go swimming. The problem was that my parents were asleep and we didn't have a pool. So we decided to make one! Our house had brand-new deep blue carpet (so stylish!) that we thought resembled water so we put on our swimsuits, laid a hula hoop on the floor and took turns carrying water in a tiny cup to and from the bathroom faucet and poured in it the hula hoop circle. Apparently our giggles and the noise we made trying to sneak to the bathroom woke up our parents who found us "swimming" on the soaking wet carpet!

Update: I haven't updated for a while. It has been quite busy around here with our little man. I can't believe he is almost a month old already!!! Sleep has been very hit or miss, but he is such a joy and I am amazed every day that we actually have our little miracle. Even through the rough times, he makes it all worthwhile . 

QOTD: Oh man, my siblings and I did so many stupid, crazy things when we were kids. We absolutely tormented my youngest brother. We convinced him that we grew him in the garden (this was when cabbage path dolls first came out, so of course, that gave us the idea) then we decide to tell him the truth about where babies come from. He was only 5 or 6 at the time, was completely appalled, and went and told my mom what we told him. Needless to say, we got into a lot of trouble for that (and I honestly don't think our version was all that accurate..lol).

Hi ladies! Sounds like some good updates! As for us, nothing really going on, just waiting on a calendar. I did have a saline sonogram this morning just because it had been over a year since my last one and they just wanted to make sure everything looked OK in there. Other than that, I'm just waiting!

QOTW: Mine's kind of gross, but funny! I had 2 older brothers, and they were both quite a bit older than me - 6 and 11 years to be exact. The oldest one wasn't around much when I was little just because he was that much older, so my middle brother & I were more close. He used to torment me though! One time he picked me up and put me on his shoulders and started spinning. I told him I was getting too dizzy and he better stop, but he didn't. I proceeded to throw up all over him while he was spinning me around, LOL. So he had my throw up all over him and then because of the spinning it kind of got on the wall and some furniture. My Mom was so mad at him, and made him clean it up. Poor guy!

QOTW: When I was about 6, my parents told my older brother and I were we going to Toys R Us, I was so excited that I started running in circles around the house from the dining room to the living room, through the hallways and back. On one of my loops I ran smack dab into a dining room chairs and split my forhead/eye open bad….toys r us turned into the ER for stitches!!! No fun at all, man did I love that store.

I am at 8 dpo - BFN this morning.  Super early to test I know.  

I had the craziest sneezing fits at work today and a runny nose.  

Driving myself crazy looking for symptoms - meanwhile implantation happens pretty late.  I'd like to wait to test again on 10dpo but I prob will waste some tests and $ before then

I used to eat soo much ice cream as a kid.  I also would put on mock shows for my grandparents (musicals) in their family room because I loved the dimmer switch lights in the front of the room.  When I became an older sister I totally duped my little sisters into being back up dancers  I let them think that we took turn with the lead parts.  hahaha

Hi all, I love seeing all of the positive news here today! Hugs to those who need them and good luck to those with upcoming cycles.

Last week I had a scare when on Thursday night just before bed I went to the bathroom and passed a clot about the size of a golf ball. I thought for sure a miscarriage was eminent but that was the only bleeding I had.  No cramping and no spotting since.  I had my third beta Friday and it came back at 11,870.  I'm really nervous that it is high and thinking is it possible the lab made a mistake?  So far my numbers have been 9dp5dt - 249, 12dp5dt - 989, and 16dp5dt - 11,870.  We only transferred one. I have my first ultrasound at 6w0d on Friday.  I'm starting to have some nausea here and there but otherwise feeling good.

QOTW:  I remember the first time I swore in front of my mom. I must have been about 10 or 11 and we were at a parade with a friend of mine.  A horse stopped mid parade to poop and I exclaimed something or other about horse sh*t.  Luckily my mom just laughed it off.

AFM:  My RE called Friday for our 5 day embie report.  She gave me news filled with doom and gloom that we didn't have any embryos that met criteria to be biopsied for PGD.  We had 10 morula's, and 3 early blasts grades B, C, and C.  I spent the night crying, and part of Saturday. Saturday afternoon she called and apologized about putting me through that because we had 4 embryos progress overnight to blast, they were able to biopsy and freeze.  She said she is very optimistic.  

IDK what to think.  Our previous last cycle with my OE, out embryo developed very much the same.  It was a morula on day 5 and a blastocyst on day 5, and it ended in a C/P.  At that point we were told it was my eggs.  Now it's looking like it may be DH's balanced translocation that is the problem.  I pray that our 4 frozen embies come back without chromosomal abnormalities. I do not know where we will go from here if it doesn't work.  

QOTW:  I have two brothers (my oldest past away) and a sister.  My older brother loved to tease us!  There was a winter, close to Christmas, my parents had my older brother baby sit for a few hours while they went Christmas shopping.  He came up with this game--A contest to see who could stay outside with their shoes off in the snow the longest.  The winner would get candy.  My sister, younger brother and I took off our socks and shoes went outside in the snow. While we watched our older brother locked us out of the house.  It wasn't for long, but he was looking through the window laughing at us, because were gullible to think we would give whoever could be outside the longest candy.

Update: GC started estrace and it is FINALLY February. We are having our last med appointments (infectious disease draw and GC lining check) on February 11th.

QOTW: This story is completely typical of me. When I was about 11, my family went to see A League of Their Own for a weekend matinee. The movie was so popular, it was playing in three separate theaters that were all located next to each other. After the movie started, I had to go to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, I couldn't exactly remember which theater I came out of. So I just went into the nearest one and sat down and figured (logically of course) that I would just find my family after the movie (two hours later). Needless to say, my mother was panicked and it ended up a poor usher going from theater to theater calling my name. I was mortified and didn't understand why my mother was making such a big deal!

Excitement and best wishes all around!

I'm going to admit that this has probably been one of my least productive weeks for me. Basically I've spent every waking second reading various adoption forum postings. I'm not sure what I'm actually looking for but I haven't found it and something tells me I won't. The good news is I can feel my obsession waning.

We still haven't actually been contacted by the expectant mom but we see her this weekend. Last we heard she still hasn't fully accepted she's pregnant. She wants to ignore it bc she's afraid she hurt the baby with the drug exposure in the first 1.5 months she was pregnant and bc she doesn't want to get connected to the baby bc she wants us to adopt. A lot can change but my wife and I are sure that God wants us to adopt an infant whether it's this emom's or not. We got another item in the mail. Randomly. A newborn infant formula kit neither one of us ordered. With all the other adoption related things we've been getting lately we're putting this in the God column too.

My wife continues to lose weight in case we do a cycle this summer (if we don't adopt this baby due in July.) I think she lost 9 total pounds last month!

We are on the last few days before our 13 yr old foster daughter moves from our home to custody with a family friend. She's been with us almost two years. We offered to adopt but she declined and based on some craziness that's happened we're actually relieved. We aren't sad to see her go, just sad at the type of future she will likely have.

Question: I was the best murderer my church youth group has ever seen! It's a game with a deck of cards and I seriously rocked the first time I'd ever played. I'm really good at strategy games.

Checking in: I am waiting for my IPs to decide what the next step is after our chemical in jan. We had put in the only two embryos they had frozen, I offered my eggs to them & we are looking into that. But still not sure if that will work or if they will ask a sister to donate.

I had my NT scan last week and the measurement looked good. My OB ordered the Maternit21 after the mfm dr didn't think it was needed since our donor was only 27. I was happy to do it and we are now just waiting for the results.

I haven't updated since my first post I think but I'm still here.  We are still doing a lot of research.  **correction** I'M still doing a lot of research.  DH has decided that IF costs too much and he isn't ready.  I know he will come around so I want to be ready when he is.  I'm pretty sure we are set on Donor Embryos unless I can lose enough weight to qualify for CC's refund DE/DS program.  I think we'll be doing D-EM though.

AFM, I’ve been sick for the past week with a fever and a sore throat and it’s taken a lot out of me. That said, my update this week needs a ***warning***

Well, I caved and POAS last Wednesday and got a faint positive, so I was able to move up my beta to Friday, 1/31. 1st beta was 54 and 2nd beta was today at 179. While not exactly doubling within 48 hours, my RE was fairly happy with those results and I go back this Friday for my 3rd beta. Just trying to take it one day at a time and enjoy each little milestone, but it’s difficult especially since my betas aren’t super high and I know things could change.

QOTW: Well, fortunately I don’t remember either incident (probably because I was only 2 or 3 years old at the time), but my mom tells me one time I put a button up my nose and my Dad had to fish it out while she screamed hysterically. Another time I nearly choked on a lifesaver that my uncle had given me….lucky I could breathe still b/c of the hole, LOL.

I suck at checking in to my own check-in sometimes!! SO much good news here - high-5 @mrsT4!!! I didn't have stellar betas either, so hang tight.

Well I am feeling SO much better! Since the 11w mark I realize I haven't been nearly as nauseated, which is awesome. Also, I have 4 - count'em - 4 - Prometrium pills left! Tomorrow night I will do a happy dance on that one. Yuck!

Tomorrow I am 12w - I can't believe it - apparently being in denial and not getting too attached made time fly. But now it's starting to feel real, which is exciting and scary. I haven't yet had the courage to fetch my pregnancy books from the basement yet, but I did go down and found a couple pair of my maternity pants from last time. I am definitely showing MUCH more this time than last, weird but reassuring.My doc said "it is your second" but I didn't realize the first counted in belly-growth regard.

We had our NT scan last Wed at 11w and it went great. Nothing concerning and baby measured 2 days ahead, and hb was 169. Now just waiting for the Harmony test to clear us of some genetic stuff, and of course tell us the gender!! We have a gratuitous exam-room quicky u/s next week before our trip to the South. Our MFM said "I know you will worry so rather than that, let's have you come in again in 2 weeks and then at 4 weeks..." She was awesome! We have an at-home doppler and I do check daily and being that baby is still so small, we tend to get a 'swim-by' which is good enough for me!
